Got mine last Jan 3. Silver Glx. Made a deposit last Dec. Paid cash.
Less 10k Free LTO/TPL. Full tint and full tank of gas. Can choose any insurance I want.
When I went to talk to my agent again to finalize the deal, he told be that I need to get the insurance from them which is around 6k more than my current insurance company quoted me.
Tint is visor only instead of full windshield but I told him I would cancel my order so he said to follow na lng. No full tank of gas. Barely made it home. They ran out of floor mats. To follow along with the tint.
    Temporary plate to follow also.

So what did you do? Did you took the more expensive insurance from the casa? What happened to the 10K discount and free LTO/TPL?

Reserved and paid DP last Dec 1 (bank PO).

Still wala pa din GLX until today.

Onti lang stocks tapos priority pa in-house and cash, aminado naman SA.

Wala na din mabigay na ETA yung SA.

Malamang sa malamang abutan na ng price increase.

Iniipit lang units, perhaps inaantay yung new price list that includes the excise tax.

Pangit lang timing nung launch nila.

Excise tax + new model + Christmas(bonus) season, tapos wala stocks or iniipit.

Sa mga talagang interesado sa Vitara, all we can do is wait, darating din yan.

I'll wait for a max of 3 months (less than 2 months to go), if wala pa din, I'll go for another brand na lang to my dismay.

Buti na lang may nagagamit pa akong kotse in the interim.

yun Hyundai Tucson no increase until end of the month PLUS 100k discount rin! I think the base model HR-V is practically the same price pa rin as last year.

i think it's just a case of mismanagement of suzuki philippines. There are more colors available than what's indicated on their official brochure. The new vitara is not even advertised on their official website yet...talk about slow updates. Might also be a logistical issue by their management hence the "delay" in shipments.....Seems they read the market wrong as it seems like they imported more GL plus model than GLX.... they also might think they priced the vitara incorrectly and might mask the price increase by blaming the excise tax.... but they can already do this as honda and toyota have officially increased their prices citing the excise tax....so what gives suzuki philippines? I wonder how they are in terms of quality control and come PMS time....

Or, they are hiding under the blanket of excise tax as it seems DTI or DOF is not checking there inventory, anyway. Unlike what the government did with the fuel companies...

Thinking of getting the Saangyong Tivoli Sport at 1.040M instead.

Will lose side airbags, cruise control, paddle shifters, sunroof and LED headlights. Hmmm

Free 3yr PMS and 5yr warranty pa.

    And muka madaming stocks haha.

DTI or DOF would not bother checking. If Suzuki will not sell their products if ever they are really hiding their inventory, it is Suzuki's loss. Besides, di naman to bigas o bawang na basic need ng mga Pinoy.

My guess is either miscalculation on their ordered units or global sales is too big that the supply for the Philippines is deprioritized.

I also reserved first week December, I told them im ok either Bank PO or Cash, but still no unit. Now i'm thinking to just buy a BR-V (just 16k increase after excise tax) or a pickup like Hillux or Strada, which price actually went down.

if you really like the vitara, wait for a few more weeks.
otherwise, you get the other brand, and you might end up suffering from the "what if" syndrome for the next several years.

I'll agree that if you really want the Vitara, wait a few more weeks for it.

Number of units getting shipped to the Philippines is the most likely reason why stocks are limited. Keep in mind that we're competing against other countries for allocation from the Hungary plant. I've read positive reviews of the 4th gen Vitara in Australia, so it probably is regarded well enough across other countries. The 4th gen was introduced in 2015, and the fact that it took until late 2017 to get it says a lot about allocation.

I looked at other competing vehicles before deciding on the Vitara.

The current A/T EcoSport is hampered by DCT issues. And I know what to expect from it given that I came from a Fiesta.

The HR-V and CX-3 are expensive considering other options on the market.

The Tivoli has that nice warranty, but the slightly higher price (without the Vitara's nice features) means you're paying for that extended warranty already.

I had these other vehicles in mind aside from the Vitara:

The Juke. It's lack of cabin space is the main weakness.

The Trax, Tucson, and ASX, though I didn't get far with my inquiries with Chevrolet, Hyundai, and Mitsubishi. I got to drive the ASX for a short bit, though, and that top of the line model is really nice.

The XV. It would've been my choice, but I ultimately decided that what I get with the GL+ Vitara is such great value for the price.

Autoindustriya published a helpful comparison of the small crossover segment:

After hearing from a friend who owns a suzuki swift na mahal daw parts at pms medyo nag dalawang isip ako. Especially after test driving the mazda 3 at nagustuhan ni wifey. Pero lamang pa rin sa features at space si vitara kaya still considering it. Tagal lang talaga stocks. ☹️

Ok, my SA just told me na wala ng GLX na darating with the 1.048M SRP. GL+ na lang ang may stocks sila but nobody wants it.

100~150k daw ang expected increase for both variants.

Once confirmed na ganyan ang increase, I'll go with the Tivoli. Naka lock in ang price nila for Q1 2018.

She also confirmed na may stocks daw talaga ng GLX pero di nag papadala yung planta kase inaantay yung revised pricing.

So, thanks Suzuki for messing this up.
