I say go with AT for offroad. It will make it easier because you don't have to worry about the clutch, and it will allow you to focus more on the right line to take on the coarse. MT is better if you are the type who wants complete control of the vehicle while offroad. Some say that AT don't offer much engine braking downhill but I tried it in my vitara and it seems it is sufficient when you put it in L. I barely had to step on the brake going down a steep hill.

Best for offroad ? Manual or automatic ?

Just bumped my Jimny this morning. Arrggghhh.... I hit a delivery van and will probably need a new front bumper. More than the cost, I'm afraid baka walang available replacement bumper sa casa.

    Mga sir,

I'm a new To this tread since I just got a 2006 Jimny. Yesterday I came from Bataan and decided to load a 10km luggage on my roofrack mounted on the stock roof rails. While driving along the SCTEX i heard a knocking sound on the roof. I pulled on the shoulder to inspect and saw two of my rear roof rail ends have broken off and the two front were already cracking. Removed the luggage and drove to the next gas station 10km away. Upon careful inspection the roofrails and roofrail ends are made out of brittle plastic. Removed the roofrack since it can fly away. Baka lumipad pa.

To those using roof racks on stock roof rails beware when loading your roof racks.

Im currently trying to look for a roof rack that mounts directly to the roof (there are 2 bolts that hold each roof rail end).

Mga sir what are the roofrack options? Maganda yung kay RRperformance. Where can that roofbrack be bought?

JLX sir. The rail ends are rather weak. Learned the hard way.

Sorry to hear about your Jimny bro, were you able to find spares for your bumper?

Thanks. Meron naman replacement daw yung casa. Pero 6 working days na nasa casa, di pa tumatawag. Replace upper and lower bumper lang, katagal-tagal,,,

am seriously considering attaching bullbars, kahit pumangit ang Jimny ko.

Huh? 6days to replace a bumper assembly? Cant you just bring your unit in when they have the actual stock in hand so kabit nalang agad?

Re bullbars, if your bumper takes that much longer, maybe consider just replacing the whole thing with an ARB bumper/bullbar?
