    TIA

Anyways, I'm pretty much convince by the experts to avoind "Putol".

TY in advance for the replies
theres a way to find out... silipin yung springs then kung other than black color, malamang lowering spring. kaso may hnr na black, pwede mo tignan kung may tatak ng lowering spring around the coils.

mas delicado compressed kasi they use heat to lower it. magiging mas brittle yung steel. buy the real deal. ul thank yourself later and hindi nagkakalayo ride ng stock and lowering spring. wag lang mga taiwan kasi tigas sobra ng ride.

hindi na mababalik sa orig ang compressed kasi mas delikado baka maputol na spring kakainit to manipulate the steel... worse maputol habang nakakabit na.

sir, even if the compression is only .5 to.75 inch drop, the springs would be brittle or the ride would be unforgiving?

the ride would be different but i would not know kung tough or bouncy. depende kung anong part ng spring yung iinitin. may spring rate kasi from top to bottom ang spring.

its does not matter kung saan or by how much drop, ininit pa rin and that causes fatigue on the metal.

buy the real deal. the handling would be night and day sa putol or compress. keep the orig para kung trip mo balik stock, madali. btw, change shocks kung drop ka kasi hindi kakayanin ng stock kung drop. magiging less yung play ng shocks and would cause it to bottom out lagi.

paki correct na lang if mali..

springs are the ones responsible for the ride height of the vehicle. it is used in tandem with the shock absorber/strut as a system.

if you adjust one component of the system i.e. springs, definitely, you make the necessary changes to the other components (i.e. shock absorber, etc.) for it to function properly.

even if you use a lowering spring that is not matched with your shock absorber set-up (i.e. stock shocks), then it will be no different from using a "putol" springs on your ride.

if you have budget, get a lowering spring+short strut, pag on a budget, putol and torno.

pm lang if you have further inquiries.

Mga Sir ask ko lang, what if wala kang mahanap na lowering spring for your ride? Mitsubishi Adventure kasi wala daw lowering spring. One option I'm looking at is to have putol springs + palit ng shorter shocks.

    Why?

If you want the look, you can simply get bigger wheels to fill in the wheel wells better, for less hassle.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Di ba advantage ng Adventure ang mataas? Bakit mo gustong ibaba?

putoling springs is always a bad idea. one problem with putol, is that they do not sit well.. think of sitting on a chair with only one buttock, with the other floating in the air. that's how putol spring sits on the spring seats. it can derail on the first serious bump on the road, leaving you with your car body touching the road.

imho, the adventure's height is designed for a purpose. this is to carry huge weight.
    bakit kailangan mo i lower?

and yes, no to putol. been there done that. ride is not that good, damages your suspension components, handling gets affected, etc.

How about Lowering Clamps?

Masama ba itong Clamp? And need pa ba initin ang springs pag ininstall ito? I guess mai-arm lang nila nito sa springs, just tightening the bolts will do to compress eh. So no need to heat, I think :-)

Gusto ko din kasi may option ako to go back sa normal ng Tein ko para maibenta kapag may pambili na ng Coilover. Do you guys think it's fine considering na designed naman for heavier car (2.0 EX) tong Tein na gamit ko so a little compression would compensate or should be fine?

Yup most likely kasi mas magaan yung 1.6L engine.

Then swap it with Tanabe DF (if meron available for EX) kasi mas mababa siya sa Tein AFAIK.

I don't really think the clamps are safe. Never heard of it actually, so malamang konti lang gumagamit. If may budget naman pang-coilies why not

And looking at the specs especially the drop, halos pareho lang din ng Tein. Hay how I wish I had the cash to burn on coilovers.

^I think those clamps would just degrade and will introduce accelerated metal fatigue in your springs.

Di kaya maxado maliit mags/tire combi mo kaya parang bitin ung drop?

Stock was 205/60/16, ngayon naka 225/40/18 ako.

are those clamps safe for road use? they way i see it, the clamps will just concentrate stress on certain parts of the spring, hastening metal fatigue..

Pero ayun ngayon back to stock height and shocks pati springs hu hu.

Kaya think twice talaga before lowering your car.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!
