My 2012 Fozzie's aircon stopped working all together yesterday. The indicator light underneath the button with "Front" was blinking.

Brought it to MI in the afternoon and the possible issue was that the aircon panel itself was busted. Unfortunately, the part was not available in BGC. They would have to get it from GH. As it was already late, I would have to leave the car with them. I decided to pull out the car and return the following day. But I asked them to order the part from GH so it would arrive in the morning.

Diagnosis was that the resistor block behind the aircon control panel was faulty. They replaced the whole panel and now it's working fine. I'm wondering why they had to replace the whole panel when they could just take out the faulty resistor and install a new one. I hope these resistors can be easily found outside the casa once my unit is no longer in warranty.
uh uh. this is what happened to me. 3 years warranty naman ang Forester right?

Sorry to hear that you also encountered the problem, April_Ryan.

It seems to be a common problem with 2012-2013 Fozzies. Probably a faulty aircon resistor in the panel. I'm now wondering if they should issue a TSB or recall for models with these defective aircon panels.

Let us know how it goes with MI. I think you're good since our Fozzies have a 3-year warranty.

happy to say that MI honored the warranty (notably, for those worried about claiming warranty when modifications are made to the car - i changed my HU and speakers, put an amp, put rear camera, but did not hear anything from them that these modifications would void the warranty. way to go MI!)

Guys any info on when the current Subaru Forester will get its midlife facelift?
I am interested in getting the current one and saw the unit at MIAS.
it now comes with a different touchscreen Radio, Daytime Running Lights and a shark fin antenna. Plus there is supposedly a Black edition that includes an STI front spoiler, STI upper strut bar, STI rear spoiler i think.
The only thing preventing me from taking the plunge is the thought of a facelifted model that might come out in a few months.

there won't be a facelift for it anytime soon. not worth getting the forester ts since the price is too high the only difference is the body kit which you can get else where at 1/4 the price.

black edition may not be released yet since wala pang CSRs.

i'm planning to buy an i-Premium. can someone talk me out of it?hehe... the biggest cons I see are the a/c and the less roomier interiors (vs. xtrail, tb, etc.). biggest advantages are safety, interior feel (subjective) and handling.

I used to source from the sellers in Subaru Society. But that forum is now closed and they just have a FB page.

While traveling last night sa SLEX, un malfunction indicator lamp/check engine light (steady), cruise control light (flashing) and vehicle dynamic control warning light (steady) came on. Try to drive pa rin at reduce speed and fortunately was able to drive safe back sa manila. Has anyone experienced the same indicators? What actions did you take? Need all thoughts/suggestions. Thanks

Guys 2014 Fozzie premium owner here. I want to install head units, back up cam, sensor to my car. Casa priced it at 40 k plus. Is there any means that I can get one for a cheaper cost, and will not void the warranty? Other accessories as well might want to get but looking for a cheaper market place. Any suggestion guys? TIA!

    ^

Ask your dealer if you could bring in the toys and sila mag install to preserve warranty.

If not? No choice ka get it from casa, saving your warranty is priceless.
