Agent followed up. Extended to June 8 yung 80K discount. Pwede mag bayad ng reservation fee of 20K up to June 8 and unit will be released within June. Nag reklamo sila kasi nga masyadong short notice yung pag sabi nung 50k discount na lang and they are working on unit sales based on the 80K discount. They also have an additional 10K (either discount or vouchers) if one can give them an OR/CR under your name of a competitor CUV (XTrail, Sportage, CRV, etc)

Will most probably pay the reservation fee tomorrow. Made the decision after test driving the iP, XT and all new CX5. Choice between iP and XT not yet final. My heart says XT but my wallet as of now is saying iP. :| Bahala na si banko kung i approve kami sa XT.

Auto-lock when the vehicle is moving? Nope, nothing on my pre-facelift 2016 XT.

However, the vehicle will automatically lock itself after a few minutes if you forgot to lock it after you leave it (ignition off).

Very nice, bro! Pahirapan yung color na yan with the XT. I would have gotten that color if it was available back then.

Yes, when it reached a certain speed (20Kph?). I think its not a feature but I heard an aftermarket speed lock. Just wondering if anybody tried it.

I used to leave it overnight at the garage unlocked but it's still unlocked in the morning. How to activate it? 2016 XT.

I have no idea. There was one time I forgot to lock it and when my wife tried to get something inside a few minutes later, she said the vehicle is locked.

I just checked the manual and it did not mention anything about any built-in speed sending locks, BTW.

Probably a silly question, but how far do you need to turn the steering wheel to lock it when parking the Forester? I'm used to just turning the steering wheel to the left by a quarter turn before it locks in our old CR-V. I didn't see any indication on the user's manual.

    Thanks in advance!

Hmmm, I see.. I guess I'll need to be more forceful then. Mahirap iikot kapag nakapatay ang makina. :-)

The Forester has electronic power steering, as with most new cars. The steering wheel will not turn if the ignition is off.
