Manute Bol news... kawawa naman
Bol seriously injured in highway accident
July 1, 2004
COLCHESTER, Conn. (AP) -- Former NBA center Manute Bol was seriously injured in a car accident, police said.
Bol was riding in a cab Wednesday night when it hit a guardrail and swerved across both lanes before hitting a rock ledge and rolling over, killing the driver and throwing the 7-foot-7-inch Bol from the car. Bol sustained a head injury and was taken by helicopter to Hartford Hospital, state police spokesman J. Paul Vance said.
Bol's condition wasn't released Thursday.
``The doctor said, for his age, he's in extremely good shape and would probably be dead if he wasn't an athlete,'' longtime friend Andrew Kearns said. ``It's going to be a long recovery, unfortunately.''
The accident happened about 30 miles southeast of Bol's home in West Hartford.
He spent 11 seasons in the NBA with four teams, blocking more shots per minute than anyone in league history. He retired in 1995, averaging 4.2 rebounds and 2.6 points during his career Bol played in college at Bridgeport and entered the NBA in 1985 with Washington.
Earlier this year, Bol was charged with hitting his daughter, cutting her lip and interfering with a police officer. He also was injured and needed medical treatment.
In 2002, Bol signed with the Indianapolis Ice of the Central Hockey League to raise money for the people of his war-torn homeland of Sudan. He never stepped on the ice.

copy & paste from ESPN.COM
"Mavericks sources said Cuban was reluctant to give Nash more than a four-year guaranteed contract because of fears the 30-year-old couldn't physically handle playing more than 32 minutes per game"
tapos e2 pa.
If Cuban matched it, he'd be risking that Nash would stay healthy and effective through at least his 35th birthday. That's questionable considering his all-out playing style. So Cuban pondered the chance of owing $12-15 million to a backup point guard.
sa bagay may edad na rin si nash. maybe nash wanted to finish his career sa phoenix..e2 trivia nabasa ko lang kung saan. nash never sold his house sa phoenix..talagang sabi rin nya cguro sa sarili nya in the future babalik sya sa phoenix. hehehe.. ndi kc sya nk-porma noon sa phoenix dahil backup sya ni J. Kidd.
sa dallas naman..at least meron silang Devin Harris may kapalit kagad si nash. and they sign restricted free agent marquis daniels for a long term contract.
Mavs salvage half of backcourt, keep Daniels

intindihin naman natin si nash, sila malone n payton ay mga star players na and are rich na sobra, gusto nila magchampion kaya they agreed to the paycut. si nash nagupisa as a benchplayer, then became an allstar, now lang sya nageenjoy kaya he wants security.

i'm sure if nash was offered a more longer contract kahit 2to3million less per year, he would have stayed.

the nash signing is good for me as a laker fan because it weakens the mavericks.

speaking of the lakers, who would be better as the next soap opera director, este, head coach?
Mike Kryzewski
Positives:
3 National Titles, great recruiter, liked by all his players, every college player wants to play for him, Kobe's personal choice
Negatives:
College coaches have not had success in the NBA - PJ Carlesimo, Rick Pitino, Lon Kruger, Jerry Tarkanian, Tim Floyd, Leonard Hamilton etc. Only Larry Brown succeeded, and it took him a long long time. Hard to pronounce his name.
Rudy Tomjanovich
Positives:
coached one of the best centers ever (Hakeem), player's coach and peacemaker, can manage superstar egos, proven NBA winner (twice)
Negatives:
Health. is he truly over cancer?

hehe naalala ko yung old phoenix days dati na may 3 guard combo si Nash, Rex Chapman and Kevin Johnson.
Dito pala nasagot na din "feri" meaning. Sedan nga. hehe
What's a Ferio?
