    similarities:

    1. both are good defensive players
    2. both are scoring machines
    3. both are clutch performers

the arguments in favor of kobe:

kobe is only in his early 20s and he's got 3 rings already. and there is the prospect of having a 4th one. 4 titles in succession? wow! even jordan could not do that. btw, how old was jordan when he got his 1st title?

    what do you think?

PS. i am a jordan fan but i could not help admiring kobe's accomplishments as a player.

si kobe kasi napasok na siya sa magaling na team. si jordan naman, he had to work his way up. dati kasi nung napasok siya sa chicago bulls, it was very fresh team.

    1. Jordan is a way better defensive player. Sa pagkakaalam ko, ilang beses na siyang nasama sa all star defensive line-up ng NBA.
    2. Jordan is a way better scoring machine. Has Kobe won a scoring title in the NBA?
    3. Jordan is a way better clutch performer. Ilan na buzzer beaters ni Jordan? Hindi ba nagkalat si Kobe nung first season niya sa L.A. Lakers? Puro kabyos yung tira niya nung playoff. Sayang yun...

Twice ng ginawa ni Jordan ang 3-peat. Bakit nahinto? <--- Nung pinatay ang tatay niya. Parang nasindikato. Pagbalik niya, 3 peat ulit.

Wala.

Not that sure pero alam ko 13. Malupit to...

5 Time MVP din siya. Kobe, 0. Actually, dapat 6, napunta kay Malone yung isa. Hehe. Kobe needs to win a MVP para may maprove siya.

i don't think so, basketball is a team game di ka mananalo pag ikaw lang gagawa. di natin pwede sabihin na hindi malakas ang bulls that time... the bulls role players done their job and fit with jordan perfectlly.

di sila nag champion pagpasok nya, madami adjustments nangyari. malakas ang lakers pagdating ni kobe in terms of line up..nandun si shaq, horry, campbell, eddie jones, van exel. pero bakit di sila nag champion? no doubt, kitang kita na i-bbuild up nila si kobe, thats why tinangal nila si eddie jones which pareho sila ng position.

all of them are threat offensively, because walang focus lahat gumagawa unlike now kay shaq and kobe ang focus, and if these two are ineffective, horry, fox, fisher , et al. will help out create some spark to boost up the team.

like the chicago bulls, pippen, rodman kukoc, harper, longley, kerr, bryan williams knew their roles as well.

siguro nga pareho sila ng laro pero jordan is jordan, kobe is kobe....

andami na accomplishments ni mr. jordan and its unfair na i-compare na si kobe sa kanya...definitely, marami pang dapat patunayan si kobe and i blieve gagawa sya ng way on his own na iba sa accomplishments ni jordan. 8)

I have to say Kobe is good. His kind of play is like MJs later years. But he is still no MJ. Just like how they compared MJ before to the likes of Dr. J and Oscar Robertson. And MJ proved he is the best. Kobe still has to prove that. Without Shaq, LA would be nothing. Without Kobe, I'm sure LA will still survive [Fisher, George, Horry are all scorers].

I'm more amzaed at Tim Duncan than Kobe though. Althugh they lost yesterday's game, he proved he could carry his team. Robinson was pretty much out of the game. Spurs built their 16 point-lead with Duncan in, and blew all of it with Duncan out. He plays good offense without forcing his shots. I like his style. He plays textbook basketball. Not flashy. He proved he could carry his team and can beat LA. They still have a great chance of beating LA.

let's give Kobe a chance to prove himself..he's still young and at 24 has accomplished more than what MJ has at the same age..

but at this point in time i still think MJ is waaaay better..

Everybody knows that Kobe has already proven that he is a good basketball player. But being good is different from being great. Kobe is a good player but MJ is a great player. Kobe still has ways to go to become a great player. I'm sure though he will be.

But it is very unfair to compare what Kobe has accomplished at a young age than MJ. Kobe joined an already play-off caliber team whereas MJ joined Chicago when it was at the bottom. And he raised it up. It is like Magic and Bird. Magic is a great player don't get me wrong, but he joined LA when it was already on top, whereas Bird joined Celtics when it was at the bottom.

6 years na sa NBA si Kobe, if he wants a MVP award, dapat ngayon naguumpisa na siyang mag-ipon kasi tumatanda na siya...
