planning to bike at polilio island this coming long weekend, okay ba dun? anybody been there?
ano ba recommended tire pressure harap at likod?
im 5'7 70kg
And yes, I still ride my bikes (all MTBS).
I left 3 of my favorite rides there, 2 FS and 1 HT.
Kaya lang bihira ng umuwi, holidays o kaya family reunions for the old folks.
'Pag nakaka- uwi ako, I still ride, usually very early in the morning.
Before 8am naka- uwi na ako sa bahay. I have a lot of riding buddies,
Others are based there so we stil find time to ride together.

depends on the terrain kasi, im 64~65kg, run my tire pressures 40psi on pure road. on mix will be around 30~35psi. i run wider tires upfront than rear also lower tire pressure up front compared to rear
ah dami options. most people will get fox, around 36-38k. but if i will get another fork id get a magura, mas rare, looks better with their double arch design, same plushness with fox. price ganun din range
try to check second hand fox forks, dami niyan benta to upgrade. around 20-25k depende sa condition. pagnagupgrade ka ng fork, hindi ka iiwas sa lubak, ikaw pa mismo maghahanap ng lubak hehe
nagkakainterest po ako bumili ng MTB , may mabibili po ba ako ng 7-8k budget lang? what brand ?for beginner lang po and yun gawa na baka mag ka leche leche pa pag nag try ako mag assemble. hehe.![]()
Meron sir. Pero with that price range meron at meron ka makukuha. Wag mo lang pangarapin naka deore. Hehehe.
Almost a month ago nang mamasyal ako sa Cartimar looking for new tires.
Yup! Surprisingly, you can still find a lot of pre- assembled MTBs that cost less than P10K.
MTBs at these price range are mostly Taiwan made.
Chromoly frames, 2- Triangle design, with famous brand name "stickers" slapped on them.
The Drivetrain may be of unknown brands but acceptable naman ang performance.
One advantage of buying pre- assembled MTBs, you can haggle for some "better" parts.
Ordinary steel chains clinks / fold, quite dangerous when you're pumping at high speeds.
Try to haggle for Stainless Steel Chains (DiD perhaps) for a safer ride.
I once joked a friend to haggle for a handlebar mounted "Hot Pandesal Pot- Pot Horn".
Hahaha! Despicable me! :hysterical:
or shall we say "less"... and that will be the PRICE.
"mahinang klase ba?"... Not really. Just like what I've said:
"The Drivetrain may be of unknown brands but acceptable naman ang performance."
You'll find better answers when you start upgrading to "better" parts. :bike3:
When buying a bike, I "change" whatever is "important" before I let go of my money.
I "upgrade" only on the ff. reasons:
1. if I want a better or a different ride.
2. If I broke a part or the part is nearing the end of its life.
Spend wisely. Ride safely. Be happy.
nah, most frames are made in china or taiwan. my only usa made frame is the intense, all my other frames are made in taiwan or china-giant, khs, da bomb, argon18, even my cervelo
those less than 10k bikes are heavier with not so efficient shifting, they could be trail ridden tho but not as enjoyable on the trail as a decent spec bike
