Why didn't you get a size 16 or 17 frame bro?

I tried a 29er na small frame and I still find it too hefty for me. Next bike will probably be a 27.5. Right now though still very happy with my 26er.

Bro if you just want to be fit, you don't need an expensive bike. Even a 5k mall bike will do - mas maeexercise ka pa nga kasi sobrang bigat

Hi Guys, just new here in Tsikot. Was planning to buy toyota wigo at meron pala topic na mtb dito.

Been riding my mtb for almost 2years now. Suggest ko lang tulad ng ginawa ko, buy a built bike with a good frame maybe alloy 6061 at least. Ride lang ng ride, Palakasin mo muna tuhod mo then read some forums on how and what to upgrade.

This way, malalaman mo talaga kung ano parts ng bike gusto mo. Para di na papalit palit. Just my two cents

Merida tfs 100 2013 pala yun akin. Bout at Lifecycle greenhills.

Merida Big Seven 40D, 20k lang with the same specs as that Cannondale pero 27.5 na.

Naka 27.5 na yang Trail 5 nayan. With the same spec which one will you recommend base sa experience being an mtb biker?

Sorry di ko napansin yung gulong nung pinost mo bro. Anyway, I never liked Cannondale kasi dati, puro 1.5" yung head tube nila so pag maguupgrade ka ng fork, bibili ka pa ng adaptor to fit the more common 1-1/8" tubes, additional gastos pa yun. But ngayon, yung 27.5 nila naka-1-1/8" na so ok na rin.

But IMO, for that price, Giant or Merida pa rin ako. Matibay and magaan yung Merida Big Seven and Talon. Here are my picks for the same price range:

    - Giant Talon 4 (22k)
    - Merida Big Seven Matts 40 (20k)
    - Giant Talon 3 (25k)

Lahat yan halo ng Altus/Acera groupset parts. Those are good enough for road use lang, pagsawaan mo muna bago ka magupgrade to Deore/SLX. Big difference between Deore/SLX and Altus/Acera is the smoothness and accuracy of shifting, plus siyempre weight savings din especially sa crank and bottom bracket.

Sa fork naman, yung Talon 3 and Merida naka XCM fork, yung Talon 4 naka-XCT. Both are very entry-level forks for me, and IMO kung mapapadalas ang trail mo I would suggest mag-upgrade ka rin eventually. Sa road use, di naman bibigay kagad yung mga yan, but of course upgrading will also mean mas magaan ang fork mo which you will feel sa pagpedal mo especially uphill. Suntour Epicon is a great upgrade from those low-end forks and mararamdaman mo kagad yung difference because it's an air suspension fork that weighs half as much as an XCT.

Bikes are expensive hobbies. Even if you keep that bike completely stock you can still get lots of fun and enjoyment.

As an oddball choice - if you're planning to upgrade anyway, you can start with this:

    https://www.facebook.com/GloriousRid...type=3&theater

At least maganda yung frame mo, everything else papalitan mo eventually but you'll still have a good frame that's fairly light and very durable.

Baka nasa 20k lang yan, more or less.

Dapat nasa side ka na going to Espaņa, then right before ng overpass na papuntang Raon, or paglagpas mo palang sa bagong tayong overpass, nandun yun secured parking area.
