First, Sava is a relatively unheard of brand. Local pa nga ata yan. I don't think it has the same quality control standards as Giant or Merida, or even the more affordable Vision/Fuji/KHS frames. Tapos carbon pa yan - a carbon frame bike for only 40k is very fishy. I would rather buy a high-quality 6061 alloy frame than a shady carbon one.

Second, it's overpriced for its specs. Yung crank nga di man lang Shimano. The post also makes no mention of what fork and brakes are equipped on the bike, which leads me to think that it's very low-end.

    Giant ATX 2 27.5 frame - 9k
    Deore groupset - 12k
    Epicon fork - 8k
    Shimano MT-15 wheelset - 4.5k
    Truvativ Stylo cockpit - 3k
    Kenda SB8 tires - 1.8k
    Generic pedals - 500
    Velo saddle - 500
    TOTAL: 39.3k
Thanks for your input/comments jut703, really appreciate it!

Better value than the Merida 100 and Giant Talon and also looks better IMO.

May Matts 70 ako (2014 model) and magaan siyang frame bro. As light as my higher end Matts TFS 1000. Kaya for me sulit na yan.

13k? Mura mo nakuha, got mine at roughly what jut703 mentioned.

Advise ko sa mga fellow tsikoteer mountain bikers na mag I start pa Lang, try to choose built bikes na bang for the buck. So ano ang bang for the buck? Ang ginawa ko dati, with a fixed budget, checked prices of name brand built bikes (giant, Merida, canondale, trek, Fuji, etc...) kung saan pa pasok. Then I compare their specs. Normally you'll need to go through the spare parts website para malaman mo hierarchy Ng parts (gaya ng shimano Grupo : tourney, Acera, altus, alibis, Deore, sox, xt, xtr, sa sram you'll have , x5, x7, x9, x0, xx, x01, xx1, etc....). Once malaman mo Yung may best parts sa price ng budget mo, then you have your winner. Also, tama din gingawa nyo na mag post ng prospects nyo (parts or built bikes), fellow tsikoteers, like miLes, x_outpost, joemarski, 111prez, verbal king, jut703 will be able to help and others will be able to chip in as well.

Once you have your bike, dadaan ka sa sakit na tinatawag na upgrade titis, normal Lang Yan, hehehe. Don't forget yung una mong intention, for health and wellness. So gaya ng Sabi ko dati early on this tread " take nothing but photos, kill nothing but time, leave nothing but trail tracks"

IMO not worth it unless you really have lots of money to burn.

Or unless you are into racing. I'll get an Ibis full suspension frame

    Guys,

Buoin natin itong bike na ito and let us see kung mag kano aabutin. Paki dag dag yung preferred niyong parts to complete yung carbon bike.

    1. Merida Seven carbon - 27K
