I used to collect MTBs. At one point, I had 13 bikes (a few Specialized and Cannondales) but I rarely found time to ride with my riding buddies.
I sold most of them and now, I only have one (Ellsworth Truth) and one for each family member. Any MTB riders here?

Used to ride regularly (2x a week). But ever since naging very busy sa work, di na nagkaroon ng time magbike. But I still kept my bike (Yeti 575) hoping I'll find time again in the near future.

I have a MTB. It's a mixed unit, but the frame is an old GTS. We bike the lenght of Daang Hari from Aguinaldo to Alabang and back. We also do a Tagaytay - Talisay run once in awhile. Going back up to Tagaytay is the hard part.

^Gusto ko din yan maranasan sir. I'm planning to buy a mtb pero di ko alam pano mamili. Basta ang gusto ko malaking mtb kasi almost 6 nako. Kaso wala akong makitang buo na, kahit 2nd hand pahirapan. I-aassemble daw yung mga malalaking mtb.

    Peace out!

*theshepherd bagay sayo 29er dami sa quiapo and cartimar mahihilo ka sa dami ng pagpipilian, bike-to-work ako paminsan minsan pag wala nang pang gasolina

me and my biking buddies do epic rides during saturdays and sundays average of 40-50 km minsan umaabot ng 100km depende sa trip ng mga halimaw sa grupo

Thank you mga sirs. Anu yung 29er?

    Peace out!

20K is just about right for a starter bike. As you go deeper and make it into a hobby, that would be the time to upgrade on parts, etc. :D

29er means 29" ang size ng gulong. Yung regular is just 26".

I'm not sure if pasok sa budget mo ang 29er. Pwede siguro pang single speed. Hindi na rin kasi ako updated sa prices ng mga bikes.

Eto dati kong bike (specialized xc pro bike frame):

Then pinalitan ko ng Turner 5spot, eto na siya a few months ago:

Pero last month pinalitan ko na ang manibela at stem

Maganda magbike, mahirap lang maging addict sa upgrade tulad ko

yeah as expected these are steel beaded. an the sidewalls are ridiculously thick like halfway between the thickness of bicycle tires and light-moto tires. i just wanted to see how well they would stand up to abuse. i'm going to beat the crap out of these tires :D

i'm 5'11" and i like Large, 19" to 20". since you're 6-1 you might be better off w/ XL. take note these are just general rules. different bikes have different sizing schemes, different standovers, different effective top tubes, etc even in the same size class

btw don't confuse frame size w/ wheel size. e.g. with 26" wheels you have XS, S, M, L, XL frame sizes
