masyado hyped ang Pfizer and Moderna
months ago in this thread alam na natin (well alam ko di ko alam kung alam ng iba) that India's SII is already making Oxford's vaccine
they were taking a financial risk coz they're mass producing an unapproved vaccine
i was thinking Oxford's vaccine will be the most readily available to the world coz they have a head start
If everybody will comply 100% in wearing masks when outside of their homes, I don't see any reason to restrict anyone from going out. Ang dami lang kasing pasaway, and meron pa tayong Pinoy mentality na nahihiyang magsabi sa mga hindi naka mask na mag mask or suotin ng maayos ang mask.
Kaya I feel safe going to malls because in almost every corner of the mall, meron guard na naka megaphone, shouting: "sir na naka-black, paki suot po mabuti yung mask nyo, maam na naka blue, paki baba po ang face shield"![]()

getting rid of the covid virus is the most effective way.
this is done by either removing the virus from the environment (very difficult at the moment), or by removing oneself from the suspicious environment, i.e., social distancing and quarantine (not easy, but do-able).
face masks and face shields are the last line off defense.
they are also the least effective.

Strict PROPER Mask wearing. Plus adequate social distancing.
What i see whenever i go to the malls these days is that majority does comply with mask wearing and face shield but some doesn't seem to wear it properly and a lot of people (Mostly younger people na magbabarkada and office workers) have forgotten about safe social distancing. It is hard for a lot of us to tell them to keep a safe distance, baka mapaaway pa.
considering the smaller number of postive cases in Metro manila in the past weeks, i think we are in waning plateau of the 1st wave.
I expect our 2nd wave to start around end of December or early January.
Remember that typical 2nd wave is a lot bigger than the first.
As it was observed and reported by Cito Beltran much earlier!
Sorry but as much as I would like to find praise worthy things to write about the City of Manila and Mayor Isko Moreno, what I saw and experienced walking around Divisoria and driving through Manila gave me reason for grave concern. In a matter of weeks, there will be more and more people drawn to Divisoria and Chinatown planning to buy various products in preparation for the Christmas season. If what we experienced in Divisoria continues, there is a frightening possibility that a serious outbreak of Covid-19 will happen before Christmas and all because the officials of Manila prioritized politics, income and popularity before public safety. I can only hope that someone from the IATF or DILG gets to read this and makes a quick ocular inspection before an outbreak takes place.
