Di ko lang mahanap yung link but he suggested na isama na daw yung mga deaths ng mga probable cases sa covid death toll.

Indonesia hasn't released their daily count yet... so this news may be a bit premature... but Indonesia has consistently has less than a 2k daily new cases.

Badly managed response...slow testing results... lack of real enforcement of home quarantine... too many ex-generals running the show.

Philippines Passes Indonesia as Worst Southeast Asia Outbreak

Despite imposing the longest, strictest lockdown in Southeast Asia earlier this year, coronavirus cases in the Philippines have now surged to almost 120,000, eclipsing Indonesia to become the region’s biggest outbreak.

The country re-imposed this week a second lockdown on its capital and nearby areas to curb infection spread, even as the economy suffered its deepest contraction on record, shrinking 16.5% in the second quarter from a year ago.

It’s yet another example of how the premature easing of restrictions has given the virus an opening to come back even stronger, illustrated by the new waves of infection now sweeping countries in Asia and parts of Europe. In the Philippines, the virus’s resurgence was fueled by testing gaffes and failures in quarantine protocol in the face of over 100,000 overseas workers arriving back home after losing their jobs in other countries.

President Rodrigo Duterte’s government loosened restrictions too soon, without ensuring that local officials could trace and treat infections, said Anthony Leachon, an internist at the Manila Doctors Hospital. Problems with hospitals’ capacity to accept patients were also recognized too late, he said.

“When we realized it, the cases were too enormous for us to control and at a time when we are short on budget,” said Leachon, a former adviser in the government’s coronavirus task force.

“The over-reliance on rapid testing, which we know can miss about a third of Covid-positive patients, may have let some asymptomatic carriers through,” said Edsel Salvana, an infectious disease expert from the National Institutes of Health at the University of the Philippines Manila. “Though the 14-day quarantine was still in place for incoming travelers, enforcement was variable.”

Tapos they put LGUs under the bus, pag ipitan na. Example yung rapid test. National nagbaba niyan sa LGU tapos ngayon sasabihin wag gamitin.

Official number 1... Considering Indonesia also stepped up it's testing which stands at 1.5 million vs PH's 1.6 million.

DAILY SNAPSHOT (PHILIPPINES SURPASSES INDONESIA): Total Cases crossed the 306,000 mark today at 7:00 pm with almost 5,800 New Cases reported across the region in the past 24 hours. The Philippines has reported a total of 3,561 confirmed cases based on the total tests done by 89 out of 98 current operational labs. Of the new infections reported today, 2,740 (77%) occurred within the past 14 days (24 July – 6 August). The Philippines has now overtaken Indonesia and sits at the top of our chart with the highest number of Total Cases (119,460) among all 10 ASEAN member states.

How our government handle this pandemic will be define by next 2022 presidential election. Will solid dds still be supportive to Digong if not what does the opposition has to offer? they must have a better alternative.

yan dapat inisip ng magagaling na ex general sa IATF. do a surgical approach.
breakdown of positive for each city
tapos for each city every barangay
once they identified what barangays have high infection rate yun ang ECQ nila.

I heard Cimatu leave Cebi na since its a success. will he be part of a CZAR for NCR?
I dont know how he does it, but it seems his works are good.
from his handling sa middle east ofw to denr secretary which led to boracay lockdown.

Malaki kasi yung 9% , kung i average natin na 2,500 /day positive case sa NCR at mecq provinces nasa 225 yan per day na kailangan i hospital. Multiply mo ng 21 days nasa 4,725 beds yan. Nasa 5k lang covid hospital beds sa NCR.

shadow, 20% of people infected will need hospitalization

not talking about fatality rate ha... mababa ang infection fatality rate -- below 1%

pero madami dami kailangan ma-ospital and they'll survive naman

    -

sabi nga nung kilala ko data nerd you can extrapolate the number of infected people by multiplying the number of deaths by 111

    2150 deaths X 111 = 238,650 infected people 30 days ago

madami pa infected people di pa nadetect

But yung deaths hindi naman talaga 2150 lang. Some doctors have confirmed this. What could be the more realistic death rate?
