As of 4PM today, September 14, 2020, the Department of Health reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 265,888, after 4,699 cases newly-confirmed cases were added to the list of COVID-19 patient.
DOH likewise announces 249 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 207,504.
Note: Of the 4,699 reported cases today, 4,090 (87%) occurred within the recent 14 days (September 1 - September 14, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (1,102 or 27%), None (1,027 or 25%) and Region 4A (830 or 20%).
Of the 259 deaths, 28 occurred in September (11%), 110 in August (42%) 97 in July (37%) 22 in June (8%) 1 in May (0%) and 1 in April (0%). Deaths were from NCR (154 or 59%), Region 7 (55 or 21%), Region 4A (28 or 11%), Region 8 (4 or 2%), Region 5 (3 or 1%), Unknown (3 or 1%), Region 3 (2 or 1%), Region 9 (2 or 1%), Region 10 (2 or 1%), BARMM (2 or 1%), Region 6 (1 or 0%), CAR (1 or 0%), and CARAGA (1 or 0%).
There were 27 duplicates that were removed from the total case count. Of these, 16 recovered cases have been removed.
Moreover, there were two hundred ninety-seven (297) cases that were previously reported as recovered but after final validation, they were deaths (253) and active (44) cases.
