One of my closest friends moved to Australia (I even made a thread about how sad it made me) She said it's one of her best decisions in life which was further reinforced with how the PH is handling the pandemic. She is convincing me to leave this country, wala na daw pag asa Pilipinas. She lives a comfortable life here in the PH but still chose to leave 10 yrs ago.

I used to tell younger people before to consider staying because our country will never get better if the best people leave. But I feel guilty about that now. Wala talagang kadala dala mga tao dito. DOH COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #144

As of 4PM today, August 05, 2020, the Department of Health reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 115,980.

A total of 3,462 confirmed cases are reported based on the total tests done by 84 out of 94 current operational labs.

DOH likewise announces 222 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 66,270.

Note:
Of the 3,462 reported cases today, 2,919 (84%) occurred within the recent 14 days (July 23-August 5, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR ( 2,083 or 71%), Region 4A ( 299 or 10%) and Region 3 ( 96 or 3%).

Of the 9 deaths, 8 (89%) in July, and 1 (11%) in June. Deaths were from NCR (4 or 44%), Region 7 (4 or 44%) and Region 11 (1 or 11%).

There were seventy-five (75) duplicates that were removed from the total case count. We have also updated the outcomes of two (2) cases. One (1) was previously reported as death but updated as recovered and one (1) case was previously reported as recovered but updated as death after final validation; these are already included in the count of new deaths and recoveries.

What’s the difference of samples tested vs individuals tested?
