It makes me sad to see young patient suffering severe case and we know that 80 to 90 percent are just mild cases and they recover. So could youn patient with severe case have a pre existing condition that they dont know of? aren't doctors doing anything to prevent the mild cases evolve to severe case?

I hope this can put the idea that you can't get covid 19 from aerosol, surfaces and food to rest. Our results indicate that aerosol and fomite transmission of SARS-CoV-2 is plausible, since the virus can remain viable and infectious in aerosols for hours and on surfaces up to days (depending on the inoculum shed).

Baka sa lab settings yan, controlled environment siyempre pag sa real situations na maraming factors na hinde tumagal siguro ng ganyan yun virus.

Half life of 1.1 hours daw bro. Still viable after 3 hours. The mechanism used to aerosolize the virus might have yielded an aerosol that differs in form and thus behaves differently vs the natural transmission route (breathing, speaking, coughing, sneezing).
But personally, I'm not taking chances, given the number of people getting infected with no idea where they got it. "Low risk" to me is a misnomer when you can't predict how mild/severe your illness will be if you catch it.
I was tested twice using this Roche test and it says only reactive or non-reactive, now I wonder how accurate the results compared to other rapidtest method. I think the technique is now using photonics just like comparing wavelength in a chemical analysis of Raman.
About Elecsys Anti-SARS-CoV-2 serology test
Elecsys® Anti-SARS-CoV-2 is an immunoassay for the in-vitro qualitative detection of antibodies (including IgG) to Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) in human serum and plasma. Through a blood sample, the test, which is based on an in-solution double-antigen sandwich format, can detect antibodies to the new coronavirus causing COVID-19, which could signal whether a person has already been infected and potentially developed immunity to the virus. Based on the measurement of a total of 5272 samples, the Elecsys® Anti-SARS-CoV-2 assay has 99.81% specificity and shows no cross-reactivity to the four human coronaviruses causing common cold. This means it can lower the chance of false positives due to the detection of similar antibodies that may be present in an individual, but are specific for coronaviruses other than SARS-CoV-2. Elecsys® Anti-SARS-CoV-2 detected antibodies with 100% sensitivity in samples taken 14 days after a PCR-confirmed infection. The importance of specificity and sensitivity of a particular test will be dependent on its purpose and disease prevalence within a given population.
Hospitals and reference laboratories can run the test on Roche’s cobas e analysers, which are widely available around the world. These fully automated systems can provide SARS-CoV-2 test results in approximately 18 minutes for one single test, with a test throughput of up to 300 tests/hour, depending on the analyser.
Detecting a patient’s immune response to SARS CoV-2 with high specificity
Elecsys® Anti‑SARS‑CoV‑2 is an immunoassay intended for qualitative detection of antibodies to SARS‑CoV‑2 in human serum and plasma (K2‑EDTA, K3‑EDTA, Li‑heparin). The test is intended for use as an aid in identifying individuals with an adaptive immune response to SARS‑CoV‑2, indicating recent or prior infection.
The electrochemiluminescence immunoassay “ECLIA” is intended for use on cobas e immunoassay analyzers.

HK may soon go on citywide lockdown. Many cluster linked to gathering at RESTAURANTS...
Hong Kong third wave: authorities weigh lockdown after 73 new Covid-19 cases reported | South China Morning Post
Sent from my Mi 9T Pro using TapatalkThree new cases were related to a cluster tied to a large family gathering at Kwai Fong Chiuchow Garden eatery, taking that outbreak’s total number to nine. Fresh infections were also tied to Fulum Restaurant in Tuen Mun Central Square, while the number of people who have contracted the virus after eating at Victoria Harbour Restaurant in Prince Edward has risen to six.
“[Some] customers who visited the Victoria Harbour Restaurant on different dates last week became infected, leading to the worries over environmental contamination in the restaurant,” Chuang said.
