i think it has something to do IFR (infection fatality rate)
How deadly is the coronavirus? The true fatality rate is tricky to find, but researchers are getting closer
if we use the lowest estimate 0.26%As time has gone on, it has become clear that the true risk of death is much lower. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention currently has a best guess of 0.65% for the IFR. But current estimates fall anywhere between 0.2% and 1%, a surprisingly large range when calculating the infection fatality rate should be as simple as dividing the number of deaths by total infections. And these estimates are changing all the time. In fact, in the time it took to write this article, the CDC changed its best estimate of the fatality rate from 0.26% to 0.65%.
1,831 deaths is 0.26% of 704,230 infected
if we use the highest estimate 0.65%
1,831 deaths is 0.65% of 281,692 infected
-
doon tayo sa 1%
1,831 is 1% of 183,100

Bookings ko with Cathay Pacific and Cebu Pacific were also fully refunded na. Yung sa CebuPac kasi for Feb flight, may pondo pa siguro sila nuon. While sa CX naman was for my April-May flight, which they cancelled mid-April and fully refunded in a few weeks.
May internationl flight din ako with PAL next month, and received an email from them last week na cancelled na yung flight. Need to coordinate pa with PAL if mag refund ba sila or maging travel fund.

Someone did mention earlier about ice cream, milk tea, etc.... is there a study that covid can go directly to food especially those that doesn't need any cooking or heating? we know that the virus needs moisture for it to bond and survive.

NEWS ALERT: Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center (GABMMC) has closed its emergency room amid the rising COVID-19 cases being catered by the district hospital.
The closure will take effect from Monday (July 20, 12:00 pm) until Thursday (July 23, 12:00 pm).
Hospital director Dr. Ted Martin said the closure will give way for terminal cleaning and disinfection activities at the ER.
As of writing, the hospital's COVID-19 ward has reached 100-percent capacity. 76 COVID-related cases currently admitted, 52 of which are COVID-19 confirmed patients.
Isolation tents at the hospital are also "beyond full capacity, with pending COVID-19 confirmed patient admissions."
CSA Alumni and Chinabank Makati area head
Of the 58 deaths due to Covid today, one of them was our makati Area Head, Paul Akasaka. He was only 46 and had no co-morbidity. He tested negative with 2 rapid tests but was positive with his swab test. It started out as a mild case and after a round of Remdesivir at Asian hospital, he was on the road to recovery after 2 weeks and his first swab test was already negative. Then his 2nd swab test was positive and his health turned for the worse overnight. He was on a ventilator for 6 days until he succumbed to viral pneumonia as the antibiotics just did not work.
They could not trace where he got the virus from and concluded that he must have gotten it from someone asymptomatic. The only thing to be thankful for in this tragedy is that no one else in his household got infected even as they had 2 seniors and a 10-year old child.
I am sharing this for us to remind everyone in our group not to be complacent and not to get tired of all the social distancing and disinfecting practices that our Communications team has tirelessly shared with us.
Please keep safe and let’s continue to pray that the we will soon be able to stem the transmission of this dreaded and unpredictable disease.
Was also declared covid free but got sick again and even gotten worst. The machine mentioned helped a British pilot survive covid in Thailand....

Baka the technicians/med techs/doctors whatever you call them interpreting the readings from the PCR machines are too exhausted already and can’t read properly, and are giving out the wrong results?

read many times from different sources that while fighting covid there are times you feel better and think you're ok na and it comes back
the virus is evil
it will keep trying to kill you until it kills you
Is it hard to read the result of pcr? I mean the result is always either negative or positive right it doesn't say that you are negative but you have few fragments of virus residue left....
