The Oxford lab leading the race for a coronavirus vaccine says it will start knowing whether it works on humans in mid-June | Business Insider

However, last week the world's largest vaccine maker, The Serum Institute of India, said it wouldn't wait that long, and began developing millions of batches of ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 right away.

"We are not waiting for the trials to get over in September in UK, and then start production here," Adar Poonawalla, the CEO of the Institute, said.

"The decision — at our own risk and cost — has been solely taken to get a jump-start on manufacturing, to have enough doses available, if the clinical trials prove successful."

    in my experience, it's easy.

use that strip of metal at the top border of the mask, for what it was designed for.
wearer should place this metal strip over the nose and push-bend it against the nose, down against the left and right bases of the nose, such that the upper border of the mask is apposed to the skin.
do not bend it half-heartedly only. make effort to really push-bend it against the nose. "pinch your nose with this metal strip under your fingers."
the upper border of the mask should ride up high over the nose. many times, it rests beneath the frame of the glasses; some glasses actually help appose it against the skin, making for an effective hot breath seal.

it's actually much easier doing it, compared to the amount of effort reading this.

of course, the ties or garters should not be too long, lest the mask hang loosely over the face.

Pseudoscience and COVID-19 — we’ve had enough already

Here are two places to start.

First, we must stop tolerating and legitimizing health pseudoscience, especially at universities and health-care institutions...

There is some evidence that alternative treatments and placebo effects can relieve distress — a common justification for tolerating unproven alternative treatments. But it’s inappropriate to deceive people (even for their benefit) with magical thinking, and it is inappropriate for scientists to let such misinformation go unremarked.

Second, more researchers should become active participants in the public fight against misinformation. Those pushing unproven ideas use the language of real science — a phenomenon I call ‘scienceploitation’ — to legitimize their products...

For the first time tomorrow's labor day there will be no rally (not allowed during ecq and gcq?) Instead for asking for salary increase they want their jobs back.

Most probably hindi pa agad. No inter-municipality travels pa rin sa mga GCQ areas starting tomorrow eh.

So sa NCR na galing sa ECQ na maraming positive cases, for sure restricted pa din travel niyan.

They wore masks but on a latter stage. Ganyan din tayo when DOH advised that there is no need to wear masks when you are not sick.
