QC beefs up campaign vs COVID-19 with quarantine officers | Facebook

The Quezon City government has formed QC Laban COVID-19, a team of quarantine officers tasked to monitor areas within barangays that will be placed under special concern lockdown for 14 days due to the high number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) incidents. The first set of areas will be placed under special concern lockdown beginning Wednesday, May 13.

“They will be deployed to locations that will be placed under special concern lockdown to ensure that quarantine processes are strictly followed,” said Kimpo.

The quarantine officers are also mandated to conduct information dissemination, explaining to the general population their part on how to combat the spread of COVID-19 in their community.

The City Health Department will in turn be conducting extensive testing in these areas to make sure they are covid-free after the 14 day period ends.

Meanwhile, Dr. Cruz explained that the selection of areas that will be placed under special concern lockdown is based from the results of community based testing conducted by the CHD and the QC-ESU. An initial five areas have been identified.

“If clustering was observed in these areas, meaning two or more households in each area have positive cases, it is very likely they will end up under the special concern lockdown,” said Dr. Cruz.

The City Health Department may also place urban poor and highly-dense locations in barangays under special concern lockdown if there is presence of clustering.

    Tip of the iceberg.

you finally understand what flatten the curve means

it doesn't only mean looking only at number of new cases

it also means looking at healthcare capacity

    congratulations you've finally caught up

you should be given a star

Here in our are there was 2 confirmed positives.

Pero as per report of CHO eh zero na daw. Sa paghahabol na masama sa non-CQ pati data dinadaya eh.

Hindi talaga accurate data from LGU and DOH.

    costumer or hardware store owner?

    i got lucky.
a nearby hardware store had on stock the plumbing supplies that i needed to repair my line, last week.
the overall cost of material + labor, was less than half of my otherwise to-be-inflated monthly water bill.
i hope you get lucky, too.

    i got lucky.
the tubero boarding in the rooms across the road in front of our gate, was lockup-grounded.
he and his 2 buddies, also grounded, fixed my nawasa leak.
when word got out, several neighbors also contracted them for odd jobs on their property.
ask around. maybe there are such workers around you.
also, a number of tsikoteers here are DIYers.

no, we are not in a subdivision.

"none of our current test kits are defective."
we already shipped the defective ones abroad.
    heh heh heh.

    yikes!

normally, test kits are initially validated by the appropriate govt office, before they are approved for local use.
but because of covid, some governments may have "modified" their regulations, so's the still-to-be-validated kits may be used in response to the emergency.
