So nag postive ulit si Sonny Angara but doctors think the test just picked up remnants of the virus and hinde naman siya nakakahawa. Sobrwng sensitive lang siguro nun PCR test. Kaya importante din yun mga rapid tests para makita kung meron ka na antibodies.

Sa sobrang unknown nitong virus na ito there's no such thing as perfect test, ang ginagawa ngayon ng mga bansa, kung ano meron at ano ang available go with the flow lang.

That is indeed the question. Kaya nga the sooner there is a vaccine, then we wouldn't need na new king of test kit and detection machine.

But if there is no vaccine and this virus keeps on surviving, then "necessity as a mother of all inventions" would kick in for sure. Hindi pwede na maraming false negative parati.

Ang basehan na lang natin habang walang vaccine is, hanggat wala tayong nakikitang mga patay sa kalsada or a tsunami of patients going to our hospitals, we're still doing ok.

Come of to think of it, sa libu libung taon na natin sa mundong ito and with out technological advancement in medical field, sobrang dami pa natin hindi alam sa mundong ito.

And we have these greedy countries racing to find new planets na pwede nilang pag aralan we can't even beat a virus who's existing in our own planet

LABOR DAY. Today, May 1, 2020, our team of health workers from the Cebu City Health Department conducted contact tracing and testing using swab samples in Sitio Lawis, Alaska, Mambaling.

The rise in the number of COVID-19 positive cases in Barangay Mambaling is the result of contact tracing and massive testing to make sure those who who have exposure to the virus will be traced.

Mayor Edgar Labella has reiterated and assured the city residents that the City Government will not stop doing all the measures against COVID-19. /PIO

24 covid-19 patients from Sitio Tinabangay, Brgy Mambaling were transferred by Cebu City QRT & EMS personnel to the Barangay Isolation Center (BIC) in Mambaling Elementary School. The Cebu City Health Department will monitor and treat the patients in the center.

there may be three possible situations to a negative rapid ("antibody") test:
1. you haven't been infected yet, ever. that means, you are "fare game" for infection.
2. you are currently infected, symptomatic or asymptomatic. you haven't developed the antibodies yet.
3. the virus had just left you, but you haven't yet developed high-enough levels of detectable antibody that are associated with previous infection and presumed immunity. this is the so-called "window period".
the prudent thing to do is to re-test (virus, antibody) after a short period of time.

having the test and doing it, is not enough. one must have somebody who knows how to interpret the results, taking into account the laboratory and clinical findings. the medical technologist may not be properly trained to do this.

staying at home for six weeks,
i noticed things in the house that need attention.
foremost among them, was our water pipe. it developed a strong leak just as the lock-up started. it was only this week, that we got a tubero and repair material, to fix the leak. 'buti na lang, may nag-bukas na supplies store. i shudder to see the next water bill... replacing the pipe was easy. breaking thru the strong concrete... whew!!
then,our ancient refrigerator started acting up. gumagana compressor, but the blower was weak... when available, i'll have the technician take a look. repair or purchase new one... repair or purchase new...
TV food! my purchasing agent is simply incapable of reading my thoughts...
and that haircut! hindi puede DIY...
