Tanong ko lang if a person has a life insurance and he dies because of COVID-19, hindi siya insurable because they don't cover pandemics?

Accident insurance usually does not cover risks caused by diseases, suicide/poisoning, accident caused by substance abuse, atomic energy exposure/explosion. Read the insurance policy po to be sure. Pero just imagine kung covered yan then sabay sabay nag claim, haha.. dami mag file ng bankruptcy.

from what i understand, they may not alter the conditions of the coverage, without approval of the insured.
so, who will and who will not get paid, will depend on the terms of coverage of the written contract.

it's coz they test so many people

the virus is very contagious so when you mass test you WILL find A LOT of infected people even those who are asymptomatic and those with only mild symptoms

those people are less likely to die that's why mababa ang death rate

in other words, if your country only tests those who had to go to hospital (those are more likely to have bad outcomes) that's why mataas ang fatality rate
