How do you guys handle money? Nag withdraw kasi ako tapos ni spray ko ng alcohol yung pera. Halos hindi ka na maka function if you assume that the whole of metro manila is infected. I went to the wet market nga, may mga nagtitinda na they don't hand over the money anymore. Lahat ng binili namin items, even fruits and veggies pinahiran ng Lysol
Lysol is toxic if ingested. Hand wash after handling money. Or use alcohol if unable to wash hands. Don't be too paranoid. You're paralyzing yourself with fear.

Nagalit daw yung pope kasi nakikialam bishop peenoise sa politics baka dinodoctrina ni pope sa seperation of church and state.

imagine ang katol ngayon eh caretaker lang meron sila. Walang inappoint na bishop.

PGH asking for face mask donations. This is how ready our government is. Our top government hospital isn't equipped to battle this disease. What good is a lockdown if our frontliners isn't armed.

UK's plan is too polite and too civilized...

Singapore: UK is not trying to contain the coronavirus | The Star Online

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s government has been criticised for not following other countries by shutting down schools and banning large gatherings to stop the spread of the disease. The UK response has instead centred on personal hygiene, self-isolation of those who think they are sick and the tracing and testing of those confirmed to have the disease.

Singapore, by contrast, imposed strict measures on those with a travel history to mainland China and carried out detailed contact tracing on anyone who tested positive in an attempt to stop the spreading of the virus. The island nation revoked the work permit of some foreigners caught at their places of employment during a mandatory leave-of-absence period, and repatriated them.

As what has been mentioned on the comment section, Medium is not a peered reviewed journal and a lot of great but maybe unqualified people can come up with their own analysis and publish it there. As for me, I'd rather take it from the experts. The idea behind #flattenthecurve was created by the CDC and supported by epidemiologists.

Here is another article that supports this idea.
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/graph...ona-simulator/
Experts expect that it is impossible to completely seal off sick population from the healthy. In the simulation, social distancing outperformed attempted quarantine in slowing down the spread.

This virus is not going anywhere unless there's a vaccine, which is not anytime soon. As long as we still go out of our houses to get our supplies, we will likely get infected. Flattening the curve isn't so much about preventing the illness, it is slowing down the rate at which people get sick.

Also, he recognized that there are countries that will not be able to execute severe containment measures due to lack of resources. He is specifically addressing this US, UK and Germany.

whether containment or mitigation, there should be mass or widespread testing
