    *SIGH*

That's what I was saying all along.

But it's more fun to listen to the scaremongers and tabloids.
    Ang KJ ni doc...

One disturbing observation ko lang with this, as well as the Taal thread is how people, even the smart and well educated, are so easily manipulated by fake news/information lately.

Tingin ko, parang di ata maganda yun... your "friendly" politician, enemy government, etc. can easily take advantage of people's gullibility.

    Point to ponder lang naman.

scientists are not of one mind, as to whether viruses are alive or dead... so how can they die if they are not alive in the first place?
    questions... questions...
Well, there's a bit of truth even in the false.

Heat will denature proteins, so the viral protein coat...

And this will effect also cargo shipments worldwide... No cargo,... No demand for shipping. And many tourist dependent countries are already revising their growth forecast for 2020. Japan relies 30% of their tourism market on mainlanders. HK, whether they like it or not, 80% tourist market mga mainlanders. Airlines also see lower growth... bad luck 2020.

Agree, usually 1 month walang production mga factory, and now bcoz of the virus, pina delay ng government, so if you're not ready, mauubusan ka ng stock, kaya dapat careful planning ka and you should know how to schedule your shipment and alam mo inventory mo.

One of my friend said, usually sa year of the rat mahina talaga ang negosyo kasi nauna ang rat, and then going sa year of the OX ay ga ganda na ang negosyo kasi kumakayod na tayo paakyat and so on.

That's true. Ang optimistic ko pa naman sa 2020 pero napakaraming kamalasan on the first month pa lang (personal and societal)

    Peste kasi mga rats?

Eto lumabas when I googled "why is 2020" Looks like marami talaga minalas

Anyone wanna ride with a busload of mainlanders? ...hehehe

Japan reports first domestic case of Wuhan virus infection: A bus driver who ferried Chinese tourists, East Asia News & Top Stories - The Straits Times

The domestic victim is a man in his 60s with no recent travel record to China, and lives in Nara prefecture in western Japan.

He works as a bus driver, and had driven two groups of Chinese tourists from Wuhan, the epicentre of the 2019-nCOV outbreak, this month.

The trips were from Jan 8 to 11, and from Jan 12 to 16.

The man had first developed symptoms of the common cold on Jan 14. He saw the doctor three days later, but no abnormalities were found.

His condition worsened on Jan 22, developing joint aches and pains. He was hospitalised on Jan 25. The infection of the novel coronavirus was confirmed on Tuesday.

Our office just sent out a memo that ALL business travels to China are suspended and ALL personal travels should be informed with the direct manager

ALL employees that have been in China in the past 14 days will be asked to go on leave or work from home

Que horror naman kawawa mga galing China na walang work from home access

At least the HK protesters got their wish...

Border crossings: Four land border will close from midnight local time on Thursday January 30 "until further notice," Lam said.

That means people will not be able to travel between Hong Kong and the mainland using the West Kowloon Station, Hung Hom, Sha Tau Kok and Man Kam To.

Two water borders -- the Tuen Mun Ferry Terminal and the China Ferry Terminal -- will also be shut.

Planes: Flights from mainland China will decrease by 50%.

Trains: Lam said that cross border train services from West Kowloon -- which operates the high speed rail to the mainland -- and Hung Hom station will be temporarily stopped.

Ferries: All cross-border ferry services will be stopped, apart from ferries to Macao.

Buses and coaches: Bus and coach services coming from the mainland will also be decreased, Lam said.

Cross-boundary coach services at the Hong Kong-Zuhai-Macau Bridge will be suspended.

Visas: Lam said that after consulting with Chinese authorities, individual travel permits for mainland tourists will be stopped.
