Ours do this. Kahit nung Taal expolosion. Namigay ng N95 masks sa mga employees. Tapos ngayon ulit.

you should not discount their fears, our fears.

Telling them to chill won't help.

So ano ba talaga? Panic or not panic? You're not being consistent

Same in our company and those that came from China are to take a leave or work from home. Bawal na din business travels to China and personal travels should be advised sa manager.

Though sa buong floor namin 1 lang naka mask

    Personally, i wouldn't panic.

Pero if others are panicking, let them panic. I'm sure they have their reasons.

    Personally, I'm not panicking.

Hindi nga ako nag-fa-face-mask, N95, or whatever eh.

    At least not yet.

But I (will) avoid going to crowded places.

Especially those with lots of TDK's like Robinsons Ermita, for example.

    Or Lucky Chinatown.

    Hassle kaya magkasakit.

Kahit maliit chance matepok, who wants to get sick di ba?

Bukod sa gastos (lalo na kung wala ka HMO), ilang araw ka ma-ospital at di maka work?

And of course, I'm keeping tabs of how this virus will play out in our neck of the woods.

    Knowledge is power.

Physically draining magkasakit kahit ordinary flu lang.

Don't turn things around here. I'm not gonna let you manipulate things and make me look like I started it. Because you did. And BTW I am not backing down.

sa ibang asian cities sanay mga tao sa mga naka mask kahit wala epidemic

    sa pinas medyo unusual pa

    --

with this ongoing epidemic pansin ko may mga tao ang interpretion nila sa mga naka mask nakakatakot

parang "do they know something i don't?"

it can cause panic daw seeing people na naka mask

    --

absent this epidemic, di pa accepted dito ang naka mask in public

    people see others as OA

    gets ko yun

Yup, that's another factor to consider, bro.

Who needs that added aggravation, right?

Kaya better you don't catch it, kahit hindi naman nakamamatay.

    That's my opinion.

I respect those who think otherwise.

Define na muna natin ano yung panic para sa inyo...

Wearing a mask is not a sign of panicking... just being informed how to be safe...

So gawin natin na, almost lahat ng tao are being safe now, they are wearing mask...

2 Chinese ships arrive in Manila - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Two ships - one from Hong Kong and another from China - docked in Manila this week, with close to 800 Chinese passengers allowed to disembark.
The cruise ship passengers were found to be free of symptoms of the novel coronavirus or 2019-nCoV, Philippine health officials assured the public.
DOH gets confirmatory test kits for 219-nCov | Philippine News Agency

"They are now setting up the laboratory for this, and once the laboratory is set up, within 48 hours, they will be able to start running the tests for the 2019 novel coronavirus in the Philippines," Domingo said.
How were they able to say they were 2019 nCoV free if they didn't even test them? Lab isn't even set up yet 🙄

people kinda forgot what those surgical masks are for

those are not to prevent you from catching something

those are to prevent you from spreading something

para di tumalsik laway / droplets

it's actually a nice gesture wearing mask when you're a little sick

    it means ayaw mo makahawa

I respect those who are wearing masks.

I don't think they are panicking.

    Kanya-kanya tayo ng comfort level.

At kanya-kanya tayo ng health status.

Others baka may existing medical condition at mas prone sila mahawa, I respect that.

Let's not take it on them and say they are panicking.

We all have different "cautiousness" level, ika nga.
