• It is not a strain of SARS or MERS.
• No specific treatment yet other than the usual anti-viral meds for coronaviruses.
• Mortality is roughly 2%.
• There are 106 confirmed deaths and 4,521 confirmed cases (mostly in mainland China).

BUT the fatality rate is lower

SARS was easier to contain coz only people with symptoms are contagious

with this virus, infected people without symptoms are contagious

so there will be more infections worldwide BUT the survival rate is higher than SARS

meaning most people who get infected WILL RECOVER
