We may agree on the without masks thing, but the talking loudly, laughing and dozens of people entering and leaving... hahaha

Ask Doc d (if he's not too busy)

It cuts at the very fabric of society (human interaction).

What was that Tom Hanks Movie again where he spent years talking to a volleyball?

Even in most ORs (lalo na sa probinsya) they share the same air with the operating theaters beside them (if lucky to have more than one).

covid through fomites is rare. i don't even alcohol my hands anymore

primary way to get covid is through aerosols. every test i've seen shows that N95 (or better) are effective (certified masks only, and well fitted)

safety glasses can block large droplets w/ ballistic trajectory, like when unmasked person is talking close to your face

don't remove your mask in crowded indoor settings

that's basically it. really quite simple

OR air doesn't need to be sterile. patient's immune system plus antibiotics will take care of it. mas malinis pa air ng semiconductor clean room like in TSMC

if we have to set up a barrier,
national bookstore sells plastic sheets for covering books and notebooks.
stretched out on the counter, just effective as aquarium panels naman sila..

    re mental health

    he has teenagers

and there's still no end in sight

    btw

i'm not advocating any of those -- plastic barrier, co2 sensor, whatever

you asked ano pwede so i gave you an answer what other people may consider better than barriers but i'm not advocating

if you haven't noticed, ako lang dito sa forum ung gusto ma-reverse lahat ng pandemic insanity

you misunderstood my comment re hygiene theather

you thought i was saying they weren't not enough... na gusto ko ng mas effective na safety equipment

    nope

    ung madali pumasok walang ceremonia

    -

    walang kwenta ang plastic barrier

nilagay lang yan to make people feel safer and to show the authorities you're complying with minimum requirements and allow you to operate

as a consumer, kung takot ka sa virus, wag pumasok sa resto

wag pumunta sa grocery, wag lumabas ng bahay even if the gov't allows you to

coz omicron is as contagious or even more contagious than measles

I was watching doc willie vlog earlier and he mentioned about 2 new covid pill paxlovir and bexavir which he says is more effective than the current monupilavir. So can this be the answer for those seniors or with comorbidity? they have a medicine for covid illness plus vaccine.

Under staff is the biggest problem everywhere. Malaking bagay na nga sa PH yung only 5 day quarantine for HCW. Sa US, kahit positive pero asymptomatic pinapapasok na... no more quarantine.

    cool!
I've seen that. Didn't know its two way.

Same sa PGH. Asymptomatics to report for work. Oks na rin siguro kesa walang staff. And if you're in the covid area you're already infected anyway...

Tsaka mas mura siguro ang acrylic barrier than a CO2 sensor hehehe
My pregnant friend last year, nag aayos na ng RT-PCR test 3 days before the CS, then nagka problem or delay yung CS so expired na test result. Pero nag la labor na. So sinara yata buong OR at sya lang pasyente. Nung dumating yung bill kasama yung pag sara ng OR.
