The spike proteins on the mutated variants may not latch effectively siguro to antibodies specific to the wild strain (parang tire wrench socket na ibang size won't get the lug nuts off) but in a pinch, a pair of pliers may work. Hindi nga lang the best tool to the job.

Hindi lang naman antibodies ang panlaban ng katawan. Major players also are T & B cells. I have no idea how fast they can adapt din, but who knows, baka they can tweak the (new generation of) antibodies to be produced na Omicron or whatever specific variant relatively quickly din, compared to a virus family that your body has never seen before.

In that sense, however much maligned, perhaps we have to give due credit din to the whole inactivated virus vaccine platforms because not spike protein specific orientation nila. Yun nga lang, mahina ang immune response talaga sa inactivated vaccines (not just the COVID ones) because it doesn't challenge the immune system that much:

Antigen presenting cell detects inactivated virus:
    "What's that? Raise the Alarm!!!"

    Immune system "Central HQ":
"Relax, its just corpses of some unknown alien antigen"
"White blood cells, clean up that mess!"
"B cells, for recording and filing!"

i did say wuhan variant spike antibodies may have cross reactivity to wuhan variant descendants

gen 1 vaccines can still keep you out of the hospital

    -

since you brought it up, exposing the body to more than 1 part of the coronavirus may be better than just exposing it to only the spike

if the immune system learns about the spike and nucleocapsid, may ibang part pwede kumapit

    -

i'm not referring only to antibodies

sa OAS, memory B cells are stuck fighting the old enemy even when exposed to a mutant

experts are concerned about 2 things from too much boosting

    1 - anergy

    2 - OAS

    #2 is more plausible

    -

i've been reading about ADE (antibody dependent enhancement) since dengvaxia era

i started reading about OAS last year

if you haven't heard of OAS coz mainstream media doesn't report about it, well... i think mainstream media will catch up on that this year

if your 1st encounter with sarscov2 is the spike protein of wuhan variant via vaccine, your body will make cells against that specific antigen even when you encounter a mutated version of sarscov2 later

meaning your immune response is stuck with the original antigen -- original antigenic sin

so as the virus keeps changing (specially the spike) your wuhan spike antibodies won't recognize (or barely recognize) the mutant virus and you'll get symptomatic covid parin

Pia Wurtzbach is fully vaxxed and boosted and she got symptomatic covid that lasted more than a week

    that's just 1 example

check out the data in highly vaccinated / boosted countries -- madami naospital ngayon fully vaxxed / boosted

i got astra my 2nd dose was august pa so 5 months na dapat mag booster nako

i was scheduled for booster tuesday this week moderna

2nd dose ko ng pfizer was last july so i'm due for booster later this month but as i've posted a few pages back i'll be skipping the boosters

i've been wearing N95 / FF2 while the cases have been low. now it's time for the P100 masks again (99.97% filtration). dude it's time to upgrade your masks haha

btw there was another guest (expert) on JRE. he said that it takes about a year for the body to get rid of certain spikes so i might be open to getting another shot july of this year. have you looked into this topic?

    was it Peter McCullough?

no i haven't looked into that specifically (ung body clearing spikes generated by mRNA or gene-type vaccines)

it sounds a bit too far out for me

pero i follow Robert Malone on twitter since last year... hanggang na-ban siya recently

ang twitter feed ko kasi hindi echo chamber... i follow mainstream experts (epidemiologists, virologists), experts from the left, experts from the right... coz i wanna know views from all sides

ang masasabi ko lang tungkol sa mainstream -- there's a narrative that's being maintained

for example: pag nagka covid ka, they don't endorse any kind of early treatment

they don't tell you to take vit c, zinc, etc

lalo they won't tell you to take ivm (btw i'm not an ivm advocate)

siguro paracetamol lang for fever... hanggang dun lang

pag lumala na --> remdesivir, IL-6 blocker

    meron official protocol

sa mainstream isa lang talaga ang solution -- vaccine

kung influential ka and you go against the narrative, you're gonna get attacked

    -

i think many professionals are afraid of going against the official narrative coz they're afraid of losing their license

Its recognized, but why would I intentionally let my 75 year old, diabetic father get infected with COVID gambling that he would survive and hoping he be immune from it later?

    protect the vulnerable

    vaccinate the elderly, co-morbids, immunocompromised

    leave everyone else alone

don't force the vaccine on everyone

I can’t help but always think how right Vivian Velez was when she said in Covid “matira matibay”.

I think the stand of the administration is there will be no mandatory vaccinations. Moral-suasion and education lang, not explicit but incentives to those who got vaxxed. For me a vax card is just the equivalent of a senior citizen or PWD card. Of course private companies can enact their own policies if they deem that its necessary to continue operations.

Ewan ko lang bakit kailangan pa magpa test. Kung mwron kang symptoms, mag isolate na agad for 5 days. Whether it's covid or not then hinde ka na nakahawa. Lalo na mga vaccinated and boosted kung mild lang then assume that you're positve. Isolate Na, no need to confirm.

On a weekly basis, nakakaramdam ako ng covid symptoms except fever, runny nose, loss of smell & taste & labored breathing. Doesn’t mean kailangan ako magpa test lagi.

I'm talking about in general.

In denial pa rin mga meron symptoms and will just brushed it off to malamig ang panahon, ordinary colds and cough lang lalo na mild lang.
