Mukhang MODERNA is the preffered booster shot in Singapore, even for those who received Pfizer. Putting up MODERNA vaccination centers and not Pfizer... Dunno if it's the same 50 mcg shot as in the US...

In the press release on Saturday, MOH also announced that, from Monday, people aged 30 and above will be able to walk in to any of the nine Moderna vaccination centres for their booster dose.

Those who can walk in are Singaporeans, permanent residents and long-term pass holders aged 30 and above who have completed the second dose six months ago.

People who are recommended to receive the booster need not receive the same vaccine they have received for the first two doses, meaning those who received the Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty vaccine can take the Moderna vaccine for the third dose.

"We encourage all who are eligible but have not taken their booster dose to come forward for it. This is the best protection for you and your loved ones as we journey towards living with COVID-19," said MOH.

    had they not been vaccinated,
chances are, they would have been in the morgue instead of in the horsepital, recovering.

Heard on the news yesterday that there are slight increase of daily infections on some cities on NCR. Sana naman hindi ito yung Delta plus variant.

Nobody wants AZN with mRNA already in abundance. Lower efficacy and 3 months gap for the 2nd dose vs 3 weeks for Pfizer and 4 weeks for Moderna. Considering the 'new" AZN arrivals are donations from countries who don't want them anymore...

there's "nobody wants", and there's poor advertising.

    come to think of it,
how do the authorities announce when and where the next vaccination thrust will be?
how do they advertise where the citizen should go, for their jab?
parang wala naman akong naririnig sa medya...

The Office of the U.S. Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) said in a declassified report that a natural origin and a lab leak are both plausible hypotheses for how SARS-COV-2 first infected humans. But it said analysts disagree on which is more likely or whether any definitive assessment can be made at all.

The report also dismissed suggestions that the coronavirus originated as a bioweapon, saying proponents of this theory "do not have direct access to the Wuhan Institute of Virology" and have been accused of spreading disinformation.

The report issued on Friday is an update of a 90-day review that President Joe Biden's administration released in August, amid intense political infighting over how much to blame China for the effects of the global pandemic rather than governments that may not have moved quickly enough to protect citizens.
