In Manila they have this QR code online registration so they will scan you upon entering and record will show if you are fully vaccinated.

it has been in the market for some time now, as an anti-arthritis medication.
as the demand is not that large, what with its price,
supplies can easily get wiped out by the surge in demand from covid folks wiling to pay the price.

    breakthrough infections are NOT rare

authorities can only count vaccinated people who seek medical assistance

if those who get infected don't feel anything or symptoms not bad enough to seek help, then authorities aren't aware of those

and 12 to 24 percent of hospitalizations are breakthroughs... that's not "rare"

This is quite foolproof the qr code system. Manila stores their vaccinated data in their database.

Unlike vaccination cards that can be faked.

what if the person got his vaccinations from not-manila?
i mean, a significant percentage of people walking around and working in manila, are not from manila.

I had a friend who was vaccinated in Manila last month which he lives in Paranaque. He had an qr code and a copy of his vaccination card on his phone...

Other LGU's can opt to have it computerized in their databased. I did get my vaccine shot in Pasay and no online registration they just provide me a card with stamps and signature they have a copy of the signed form which they can have it digitize.

if for local purposes only, puede na siguro, as long as each LGU has access to the other..
but if one has to travel abroad, our government has to come up with a centralized system.

    tekateka...
some time back, i vaguely remember an authority saying non-vaccinated folks will not be discriminated against..."

Just like with other things, nag peak then baba.

But ang issue is how to manage yun nagkakasakit during peak.

there are 2 ideologies at play

zero covid and live with covid

Australia and NZ have zero covid policy that's why they lock down immediately even if they only have a few cases

but it only works when you have a super efficient testing and contact tracing system

ung habang naka lockdown kaya mo hanapin lahat ng may virus at ma-isolate mo

so you can reopen the economy with only a short lockdown

pag labas ng mga tao mo confident ka wala may virus

TAPOS sobra strict ang border control mo para wala makalusot

(sa Australia they won't even let Australians from abroad come in)

so how is Australia's zero covid policy doing?

    so much for Fortress Australia

    nalusotan sila

NZ is more successful coz they're smaller (size and population) so easier to manage

Aussies like to go with the UK/US style. Parang katulad na rin dito satin.

Good thing though I don't have relatives living in AU. But in NZ.

    Or you go in between

    Like Singapore

Still a fortress but with one of the best contact tracing systems and still requires masks

Probably only possible as a small and wealthy city-state

Not perfect though as their restrictions have been on and off

    so comparing NZ and PH...

paano tayo mag zero covid policy?

pumasok tayo sa pandemic in March 2020 with 1 pcr lab (RITM)

do you guys remember how many days ang waiting time for results?

    1 week or more?

sa testing palang di na pwede pang zero covid policy

then there's contact tracing... which is almost non-existent

sa South Korea at the start of the pandemic they were tracing 3,4,5 layers of contacts

    tayo? 1 layer

    zero covid policy sa Pinas?

kaya doon tayo sa live with covid
