They do have hospitalization tracking. But I don't believe their numbers. Nung puno na mga hospital nung surge last April nasa 75% pa lang published nila. facebook_1627448245662_6826012686576193810.jpg

The more surges around the world increases the opportunity for the virus to mutate to resist vaccines...

CDC: The coronavirus could be 'just a few mutations' away from evading vaccines

All viruses change over time as they replicate inside an infected host. So countless versions of the coronavirus are circulating, each separated by a handful of tiny changes in its genetic code. Many of these have no real public-health impact, but the more people a virus infects, the more chances it has to mutate into a new, dangerous variant.

"The biggest concern at the moment is just the sheer number of people that have the virus and therefore the sheer number of variants that are being generated," Andrew Read, who studies the evolution of infectious diseases at Pennsylvania State University, previously told Insider. "Some of those might be the jackpot which are even fitter than Delta."

Yes, at this point we cannot based on hospital bed capacity because when it peak let say 80% capacity delta variant is already rampant. So government decide again economy or people's health.

Octa is saying lockdown now to avoid a bigger surge.

Another group is saying let’s wait for the actual surge to happen before we lockdown?

compare UK 2nd wave and 3rd wave

look at their cases and deaths

in 2nd wave both cases and deaths rise

in 3rd wave deaths no longer follow cases

    vaccines work

another thesis is many britons already have antibodies from infections during the 2nd wave

    madami na pinoy nagka-covid

madami na meron antibodies pero dahil wala tayo seroprevalence studies we don't know the percentage of people who already have (some) protection against covid (si misseks for example)

that's on top of those who are already vaccinated

so my thesis is we're gonna do better than Thailand

    Thailand never had a wave

    compare that to PH

praktisado na ang immune system ng mga pinoy

thailand avoided exposure to milder variants last year and now experiencing their 1st large wave this year delta variant agad

swerte nila last year pero malas pala in hindsight (kasi wala sila antibodies)

eh ang pinas 2020 pa exposed sa virus praktisado na immune system ng mga pinoy

tingin ko kaya ng pinoy ang delta

    that's my theory

So bro you’d rather wait for the hospitalization to suffocate? If that’s your theory.

Since the variants are imported, shouldn’t banning flights be the first immediate response? Parang Wuhan lang, late closing, then spread na.
