Mutations should include the original variant name so people won't forget that this is all china's fault.

What I noticed kasi yung mga successful holding off the initial surge, naging complacent even without high rate of vaccinations.

that is why, vaccination is key!
nabawasan na ang nagkasakit, nabawasan din ang mutations.

    magpa-bakuna na kayo.
that way, you stand a better chance at surviving the more traditional variants, so's you can think about combating the newer variants.

    'kaw naman.
you sound as if they intentionally wanted to hide it.

    baka ngayon lang napuna.
i mean, it has to start somewhere.

Well, assumptions go both ways. Could be that the Delta has been around, it could also mean that the Delta was the cause of the last surge. Either or, Delta or not, no matter what the IATF announces, we should be responsible for ourselves. How often have I seen people ease up on safety just because the IATF downgraded the quarantine status.

I also agree with you that there is no deliberate intention to hide the info. I think it has more to do with the time constraints given to the genome center for virus sequencing to identify a strain.

You don’t even have to. Just allow establishments a free hand in crafting their rules for patrons & employees. After all, they have a responsiblity for the health of their employees, dba? If an employee gets sick, who loses revenue?

We can only do that if we have ample supply for everyone. Andami ko kakilala gusto mabakunahan yet hindi pa din nababakunahan.

    i agreer with cns.
... only when the vaccine becomes easily available to anyone who wishes it.

is govt still limiting importation and distribution rights to itself?
in my opinion, given the chance, private enterprise may be able to do it faster and more efficiently...

no doc that's not what i meant

it took time to get enough evidence (genome sequencing) --- people infected with delta variant without travel history

dun lang sila na-convince meron na local transmission

by the time na-acknowledge, delta has already been spreading for weeks

reading your post (#28987), i got the impression that you were accusing the authorities of deliberately withholding information, until they could not keep it a secret any longer.
    apologies for the mis-understanding.

With so much utang we are getting, why can’t we buy more equipment to expedite genome sequencing and testing.
