Yup parang ganyan nga ginawa dun sa isang window type namin. Para lang makasingaw yung init and also madeflect sa pataas yung mainit na hangin.

Yero lang ginamit ng karpintero namin. Wala pang 1000 lahat inabot.

Something like this... but with the air duct hanging from the ceiling.

    missek

nice to know na effective pala talaga yung relocate ng compressor.

You'll need an exhaust fan at the end of that tube to suck the hot air out ...

For short lengths like a few meters, no need. The fans used in outdoor A/Cs are static pressure optimized with their wide blades and steep pitch angles.

There will be some losses in efficiency for sure, but specific to the guy's issue, the fact that it's going to pull in fresh/cooler air with the ducting installed makes up for the loss and he'll end up with a net-positive efficiency compared to the current setup.

To further reduce this loss, it's also best to keep the ducting as straight as possible.... no sharp turns or hairpins.

    miss X,
    your papa is right.
    perusing carousell,
just the cost of the ducting, depending on the type, them ductings can be very expensive... thousands if the diameter is big...
it might be cheaper and longer-lasting in the long run, if the unit were relocated, instead of running that ducting...

    i am now curious,
    how come your papa knew?

[emoji41]
