Thats what the government tried to push the malls in our country to use. It does help but the malls were warmer when sm tried it. They later gave up on that idea.
For home use, the lower the temperature say 19c during daytime vs 25c during daytime, there is a difference in consumption IF there is cold/heat leak due to insulation and door openings/closings. If your insulation(or outside temperature is not too warm) is good, 19c vs 25c negligible.
Parang sa car lng, sa gabi diba hindi hirap ang palamigin ang sasakyan. At night your fc is better because the a/c is not working as hard. In a hot afternoon you can hear your compressor run almost continuously. Eating up fuel ie electricity.
When I was studying Japan where summer is hell like in our country, there are large signage reading "28 degrees".
Yup. 28 degrees lang dapat ang setting ng aircon at heater hehehe.
Syempre pag walang Japanese sa lab, mejo nilalamigan namin.
or stay sa dorm maghapon para may ercon.
My vote goes to Mitsubishi Aire and Daikin for the inverter split type. Both Japs brand but manufactured somewhere else but retaining really its quality. I am slowly converting my rooms one by one to Daikin, replacing Pansonic and Carrier.
Torn between the two:
A. Panasonic CS-S9SKQ 1hp split-type premium inverter deluxe
- PhP 29250 indoor/outdoor unit price
- PhP 4500 installation fee (first 10 ft)
- PhP 250 delivery fee
- TOTAL: PhP34000
B. Daikin 1hp split-type R32 D-SMART ELITE (FTKVNVM)
- PhP33000 indoor/outdoor unit price
- PhP 10000 installation fee (first 10 ft)
- TOTAL: PhP43000
Energy savings. You should set the thermostat just enough to be comfortable pero hindi masyadong malayo sa temp sa labas.
Same thing pag winter. Supposedly, hindi pwedeng pang summer ang setting mo ng heater.
Pero actually even Japanese set their heaters sa office na sobrang init kapag winter. As in para kang nasa kwarto na may nagpaplantsa.

Not a split type but would anyone have feedback on the Hitachi window-type inverter ACs? Considering this or the Sharp window type inverter unit.
Havent tried those brands but I just recently bought the kolin window type 1HP inverter. So far so good.

Kolin is cheaper than the Hitachi and Sanyo but I'm thinking twice since i'm not familiar with the brand performance.
There's a compact size 1HP inverter model which i'm considering. P28K sa mall, P 25.9K sa olx. I wonder if the smaller size affects the performance though.
Smaller size aircon won't have that much internal ventilation compared to the larger one. Which would slightly affect performance.
Bought the Sanyo 1.0HP window type inverter for 26.9K.
We'll install it this weekend or the weekend after.![]()
Additional Cost ko sa electricity for 5hrs a day na gamit nasa 1.2k per month.
CYA used to be my client sa bank so i would buy appliances from their warehouse along Mercedes Ave. Okay naman yung class B (usually sira box or may maliit na dent). Panget lang after sales service. Nasira yung isang aircon namin na GE under warranty and the Pampanga service provider took forever to attend to it.
