i'm curious as to how many will really heed the "call to patriotism".

As far as i'm concerned, they are already patriots, sending much needed dollars to our country.

It's the people in our government(past and present) i'm not so sure of.

    "may tawag diyan"

    "market forces"

"how do you stop market forces"

"katakot takot na "control" kelangan diyan"

"katakot takot na resources to implement that "control"

"and kahit may "control" people will find a way"

"and in the end, beyond control yan"

Kaya nga sabi ko ... "tingnan natin kung maging epektib sila" ... apparently, some people don't get sarcasm when they read it.

it was past governments that failed on economic policy that drove millions of pinoys to work abroad

and when govt realized it was OFW remittances that powered PH consumer-driven economy the govt called OFWs heroes

but it wasn't out of patriotism that people went abroad to work to send money to power the economy

it was coz they had to survive

true patriots are the ones who stayed

doctors and nurses and teachers who practice their profession where they're really needed... in far away towns in the middle of nowhere

those who sacrificed opportunity to make more money

    those are the freaking heroes

ayaw lang kasi ninyong tanggapin minsan talagang "He is a self serving lap dog of Xi Jin Ping and a traitor to the Filipino People especially to the poor whom he got his mandate of 16M"

they surely didn't leave the country to save the Phil. economy

they left the country in their own self interest

it just so happened the money they sent saved the economy which was not their goal

their goal was to support their families

saving the economy was an unintended side effect

if they could have taken their families with them they would have

then they wouldn't have sent money to PH and the economy wouldn't have been saved

Fact of the matter is, the PH is benefitting from the remittances. i doubt if any single OFW set foot outside the country with the sole purpose of saving it, and yet they are. Not even a little love sir uls? [emoji3]
