Digong preaching about patriotism? Thats the same as him preaching about GMRC and marital fidelity.

read Inquirer front page today, tinigil daw ang pagbigay ng financial assistance to Boracay residents?

Also been hearing that 4P's financial assistance has been stopped in certain provinces. Is this due to the coming elections, or ....?

Ginawa na naman tanga ni mypres yung 16M na nananampalataya sa kanya ... punta daw siya sa Benham rise ... atapang a tao ... palakpakan yung 16M na tanga't mga ogag .... ang problema eh...

No one is claiming Benham Rise which was confirmed by the UN Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf March last year as part of the Extended Continental Shelf (ECS) of the Philippines.

No one disputes that. Not even China.

Ang weird ng panliligaw sa mga Pinoy. Miascor tanggal lahat. Boracay walang trabaho for 6 months. Ngayon naman ang gusto lahat ng OFW sa Kuwait mawalan ng trabaho.

May magagamit daw na funds galing china sabi sa statement ni digong.

Ang tanong, anong terms ng funds na yon?

^ there's a projected worker shortage foe Build Build Build. With the "permanent" ban, the OFWs there will eventually have to return home and hopefully get redeployed elsewhere.

Well, who knows how many other countries we'll have an export ban with in the near future: i've heard at least one case of suspected abuse over in Saudi Arabia since the Kuwait ban.

If the trend continues, OFW destination options will get squeezed...maybe some of them will have no choice but to get jobs locally.

It' funny how things just sort of line up, eh?

sir planado nga ba talaga yan? feeling ko the OFW thing evolved out of necessity rather than some program by our government...that came afterwards na,and is still sorely lacking.

Baka sa airport palang eh barilin na mga "troops" 'yan. Banderang KAPOS!

But majority of the 260k workers in Kuwait are of the domestic, "unskilled" type ... not fit for the "build build build" dream, unfortunately.

    yes it evolved

    wasn't planned

but seeing the hard currency OFWs send to PH, govt basically endorsed the OFW phenomena

    institutionalized it

we have a govt agency created specifically for labor export (POEA)

PH govt is now a manpower agency

Mas malaki kasi kinikita ng mga OFW (skilled or unskilled) sa ibang bansa compared dito sa Pilipinas ... magkano sweldo dito ng maid ...magakano sa Kuwait ... magkano sweldo dito ng tubero, compared sa Saudi... unless local companies and households can match or exceed the economic incentives these OFW's get, pupunta at pupunta mga Pinoy sa abroad ... lalo na yung may pamilya ... simple di ba?

May tawag diyan... market forces .... mas mataas sweldo abroad, punta mga pinoy doon... how do you stop market forces .... katakot takot na "control" kelangan diyan ... katakot takot na resources to implement that "control" .... and kahit may "control" people will find a way .... and in the end, beyond control yan.
