I’m pertaining to the victim blaming on social media by the netizens, not the police. and yes, this was also happening during the past admin and the admins before that. it’s a culture thing, but it’s about time we call out this bad behavior.

the past replies have already highlighted the PNP’s salary raise granted by PDuts. its purpose is to motivate the police to do a better job. “to serve and protect” everyone, not only the ruling class or to protect PDuts from being ousted.

like the EDSA MRT, it’s the past admins’ fault it deteriorated. at least we’re giving PDuts’ admin a chance to reform the Police.

kelangan pasayahin ni du30 ang pulis ang military tapos ang mga nasa cabinet mga ex pnp at afp. same strategy ni GMA. i really wonder kung adviser niya si GMA now, may pagkaka pareho ang strategy, sana lang maturuan din siya ni GMA about economy para gumanda ganda naman ang takbo ng economy sa pinas. puro kasi war on drugs dami na napapatay pero least safe country pa din tayo.

His war on drugs made it more dangerous now because even innocent people can be killed with the viel of tokhang. Mas emboldened na tuloy mga kriminal.

Though drug usage did show a big decline. Totoo naman yan.

Para sa akin ba ito? I did not say tokhang is a good solution against illegal drugs ha. I am actually against it. I even castigated my younger cousins and nieces who are in the service.

yes that's what liberal democracy is all about -- to protect the innocent

but in the process of protecting the innocent, many guilty go unpunished

as many criminals go free, people feel unsafe, thinking the govt has failed them

people then long for a strongman who promises to get tough on crime

it's a cycle (the supercycle i'm talking about coz it takes decades to play out)

strongman in power ---> too little freedom ---> people drive out the strongman ---> liberal regime ---> too much freedom ---> strongman nostalgia ---> installs a strongman
