Bros, my company is not ROHQ and the veto virtually takes away the special tax rate enjoyed by selected employees (take note not all) of these companies in the past. They have leveled the playing field so it is now up to management to offer incentives to retain the strong performers, though they are not required by law to do so.

For one, I don't think that those pulling the strings are doing it primarily for the sake of the country, but rather for their own self preservation and rise to power.
As Littlefinger succintly puts it - chaos is a ladder.
People like Alvarez will have no place in any other adminstration so they're squeezing out as much as they can from this current one.
Second, for every industry that this administration shuts down, some other industry flourishes. My contractor friends all say that business is booming as government projects being handed to them by local feudal lords allied with Lord Digong. They're not exactly fans of the president, but they have mouths to feed.
The reality is that those who flow like water are the ones who prosper. While people were bickering about politics during the Marcos Era, many of today's biggest tycoons either stayed apolitical or kowtowed to whoever's in power in order to protect their business interests.

Nakow! Puputok ang butsi ni bong bong nito 😂

“There will come a time when China‘s might had ceased, when we will have to thank them for the islands because it is only the Philippines that can legally build on those artificial islands,” Roque said in an interview aired on Wednesday on his Facebook page.
“Clearly, eventually, those artificial islands will be ours if we can ask China to leave the islands,” he added.
