Spot on. My lolo and dad works with families (since forever) from old money and that's exactly how they are.

Example, one of the sons fell in love with an employee of their company. The family was so disappointed (harsh words were spoken kaya akala ko naman napaka low quality ng babae). I found out that girl is a CPA from UPd! She was never accepted in the family probably because she doesn't come from old money or have Spanish blood.

Re promdi and manilenyo, I have a friend whose parents both come from old money. The Dad's family is from Manila. The Mom's family is from Visayas. When the Lola from Manila gets mad with my friend she references my friend's "bisaya" blood for anything negative.

I'm sure hindi lahat ganyan but it does happen.
