And that drives the parents of the guy crazy. It only complicates things for everyone. Might as well choose someone from his own circle that his parents approve of rather than marrying down.

My childhood best friend is Filipino Chinese and all those are so true! She even said her Ahya approves of our friendship since I'm not pure Filipino. They think Filipinos are lazy. Matindi din bigotry ng Chinese.
