September 5th, 2019 09:40 PM #1122while the pipe may be entering the tank from above (for ease of engineering and ease of servicing),
its open tip is somewhere near the bottom of the tank, so's we may higop fuel still, even as the tank is already registering near-empty at the gauge.
but not too bottom... we have to give the water that somehow gets into the tank, somewhere to accumulate and get drained easily, without getting higop-ed by the pipe and freezing our engine..
generic answer.

Yes sir, I'd like to follow the manufacturer's recommended interval. but upon inspection of the condition of the filter, I saw it is worthy enough to be replaced even if its still way far from the mileage interval, hence, I call it premature yung pag palit ko. I have no choice but to buy new filter. otherwise I have to bear the burden of huge expenses on fuel system repairs in the future if I leave it that way.

September 13th, 2019 02:17 AM #1125Have any of you guys suffered axle seal leaks on your NP300s? Mine had it at 36K km. The seal was replaced under warranty but I was back to the shop at 39K km for the same problem. It was again replaced but I'm closely observing it. A friend of mine also suffered the same problem on his Terra barely going 6k on his odometer.

September 14th, 2019 11:39 AM #1127^Axle end-seal weeps oil. Possible cause of premature wear is vibrations on the driveshaft or failing crossjoints. Mine on D40 was replaced after 10yrs.

September 14th, 2019 08:24 PM #1128or, the drive shaft ain't perfectly straight anymore.
the very slight but nevertheless excess wiggle as it rotates swiftly, wears down the oil seal fast
puede rin siguro, bad bearing..

September 16th, 2019 12:07 AM #1129There are no symptoms as you drive sir. I suggest you take an occasional look at the brake drums from underneath and if you find it wet with oil then that's it. It has been discussed a lot in the FB site of Team Navara Philippines. It happens quite often to Navaras...and maybe Terras too as what my friend has experienced.

That's what he actually did. He also retrofitted an eps to his 1970s era beetle. Btw, now...
