Hello everyone skip a lot in this forum.. We just bought a Nissan navara 4x2 and its all good and everything a bit big for our provincial roads. Good for long drive specially the six gear, but I wonder bout the fuel consumption is it really that economic? Because im not getting that on the pick up... Im still in 6000 below on the meter and I was wondering if we get the tune up or something does it make it economical???? Im a bit clueless any navara experience expert would be nice to suggest or teach me about this. You could email me directly on dennishronfutalan*gmail.com thanks....

in general, the fuel consumption gets better after the machine has been properly worn-in already. what are your fuel economy figures ba?

mines 4x4 nav (almost 9months old) with 8,000+ km on the odometer. my best figure is 10.2 km/li during the break-in period where i exercised much restraint meaning mostly less than 2000rpm (except during brief episodes of high strain runs where i rev the engine then release the gas and allow it to engine brake).

after this period, my figures ranged from 8.2 - 8.4 km/li.

recently, a fitted a piggyback chip and my figures seems to have improved marginally despite my driving habit not changing (ok maybe a bit more aggressive pa nga at times). now i'm getting 8.6 - 9.4 km/li.

if you back-read, i think generally, the 4x2 nav gets consistently above 10 km/li.

    or ako ang may sapi?

haaaay, time to fabricate a bigger air box. problem is wala nga ako time. busy pagtatago sa mga pulis, bumbero, tanod, basurero, at inaanak

baka gusto nyo prescription para sa viagra. he he. para tumigas naman yan malalambot nyo.... na rubber. PM nyo lang ako. har har har!!!

Back to navara, di ba mas malaki talaga ang airbox ng European version compared to the thailand version? eh bakit ba naman kasi niliitan pa ang thai version. i just dont get the rationale for this. in this day and age kasi, mas economical pa na mag-produce ng global standard na lang eh. ayun tuloy, ang stock K&N na filter ko nabili, kinailangan pang putulin ant idikit muli para lang mag-fit sa stock na drop-in filter ng ating nav.

hi pips! newby here and this is my first post! i traded my 2000 frontier over 4x2 a/t nav one month ago and with regards to overall performance, im satisfied with this truck. i read from the start of this thread and i learned so many things. my initial upgrade for my unit is that i installed pioneer ts-wx210a active subwoofer to enhance the bass.audio quality improved but i think it still need tweeter upgrade too, dont know if the dashboards tweeter are there. still contemplating w/ a hu upgrade and w/c im eyeing jvc avx 820.i also installed carryboy g3 canopy courtesy of carryboy banawe including the tail lamp, doorlatch, foglamp and grill garnish.one way 3m tint medium dark for the windshield and dark for the window

its more of a reminder for us navara owners (to myself in particular ).

minsan kasi (or rather madalas) pag may nakikita ako na barumbado mag-overtake na mga other makes, talagang nangangati ang right foot ko na ipakita na hindi sila ganun kabilis. in fact just last sunday, i came from bukidnon. on the way back to pagadian, lampas konti cagayan de oro city, may white na fortuner with very dark-covered license plate (hindi na mabasa) nakita ko in front obviously racing with a silver hilux. humahataw maski medyo alanganin overtake pa din. after awhile na-overtake-an na nya ang hilux. ang hirap kontrolin ang urge to engage it kasi alam ko kayang kaya ng navara yun. sinundan-sundan ko na lang na parang lead car sya. at times, i know i can overtake him but i just stayed at his tail. but just before the forest reserve sa Initao town, maganda ang road na yun straight smooth road with a very fast left-hand curve/corner hindi na ako nakapagpigil. clear ang road and i can see about 500 meters ahead. inupakan ko na din. ending ng story... well, alam na natin navara owners ito eh. suffice it to say, hindi na nag-attempt pa na sumunod sa akin yun fortuner. if ever naman na magpumilit pa din sya na overtake-an ako, i wont resist na din kasi alam ko at alam na din nya he and his machine gave it their all and fell short.

still looking forward to meeting you and other fellow navara owners from mindanao sometime. my nav is platinum silver krome ed all "stock-looking" with the navaraclubph sticker at the back and NCP logo in windshield.

im from mindanao din sir, have a red navara 4x2 na matic, 4mos old pa lang,
im also looking for other nav owners dito sa mindanao, marami na rin kc ako nakakasabay sa daan na mga navs, im from cdo, pero lage bumiyabyahe pa iligan, sana pwede taung mag branch out ng navara club mindanao para magkasamasama tau. para magkaroon din tau ng activities just like nung mga felloe nav owner natin in luzon n visayas. gus2 ko nga ung sticker ng ncp kaya lang di pa ko makaluwas ng manila. san mo ba nakuha ung sau? myt have seen u on the road cguro, dami ko rin kasi nakikita na mga krome ed d2 cdo e.
hope we can meet someday, san ka ba nagpapa pms?

my usual route kasi is pagadian-CDO. so far ako pa lang ata ang NCP member dito sa northwestern mindanao. i know at least 3 from davao, one from zambo city. ang konti lang natin and all spaced far apart. pero malapit lang naman relatively speaking particularly kasi enjoy naman i-drive ang nav. also hoping we can form a mindanao chapter ng navara club. ang saya kasama ng mga members from manila/luzon. twice na ako naka-attend ng "AW-AW night"/gimmick with them.

i have also attended the navaraclubph (NCP) launching by UMC sa world trade center last august sa manila. that's when i got the NCP stickers.

sa dec 18 dadaan ako ulit ng CDO but rush lang kasi may wedding kami pupuntahan. maybe one time hindi kami nagmamadali, we can meet sa CDO. usually every 2-3 wks naman andun ako. if ever, we can invite the davao people meet-up sa CDO.

sa nissan carmen ako last nagpa-PMS (5,000km), sa nissan gallery naman nung 1st 1,000km. january pa siguro ako ulit makaka-PMS for 10,000 km. nasa 8,000+km pa lang kasi ang odo ng nav ko eh.

Question: What is the OEM size of our wiper-blades?

Thanks.

Thanks for the warm welcome sir cydepx44,totoo po sabi nyo, anlaki ng difference ng power, and i dont know if my speedometer is telling the truth,at 140 kph, it feels like cruising at only 100kph ,this truck is very stable aside from its speed attribute,..i like the handling and maneuverability when running at nlex bocaue northbound at 100 kph the whole curved ,wala yung sense na ipupukol yung car mo.

I would like to share a more detailed article that I found in Top Gear Ph. It's kinda old already but I hope it helps specially during this Christmas rush, when things along Edsa and around MManila could get out of hand.
