Happy NewYear Mother Truckers.. Share ko lang some of my mods today..

500W inverter. Mounting does not interfere with passenger seat.

Hehe onga pala. Ang alam ko kasi standard yang size ng MAF adapter for Nissan cars so may kaparehas lage.. BTW this K&N might work http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=08954 pero mas preferred ko yung insulated/non-metal body like the OEM..

Im still looking for catch can pero malapit na maubos pasensya, i might go with Mann & Hummel na.. I found out na Mann din pala ang gumagawa ng fuel filter ng Navara.

*brellrain - standard to all Navara variants ang ABS, EBD. LSPV as indicated po sa UMC site. LSD lang ang hindi.

Thanks bro, saw the link you gave me, I did assume that it has ABS and EBD, pero nag doubt ako kasi baka sa mga top of the line models lang siya..

By the way, will there be a new navara coming out this year?

And lastly, is it true about the navara's 1 star crash test rating(Euro NCAP)?

Naka-tap in parallel sa accessory outlet, so far tested 2 electric fans for 30mins ok naman sya..

    Naku sir, wag magpapaniwala dyan..hehe
Seriously 1 sya pero naging 3 after correcting delayed airbags. Check this tests.

    I'll answer them for you...

No new Navara coming out this year. A new 'facelifted' Navara has just been launched in other countries and my guess is that it'll slowly make it's way to our shores, and hopefully for yourself it might coincide with your June target date.

Not sure about the exact statistic regarding the Euro NCAP test, but it did score badly in comparison to it's competitors. Amongst it's competitors the D40 Navara has had no facelifts/updates since it's launch in 2006, this recent facelift in Q4 2010 is the first since then and it seems Nissan have pulled their socks up:

Wikipedia: The D40 Navara has undergone Euro NCAP crash testing along with the Mitsubishi Triton and Isuzu D-Max, and received one star with a strikeout; however, after retesting with upgraded computer software it went from the lowest in the group to the highest (overall) with 3 stars.
Some more awards and recent recognition:

    Wikipedia:
2010 Nissan Frontier Received NHTSA's Highest Side-impact Safety Rating(5 stars).
2010 Nissan Frontier Received J.D. Power and Associates Highest Ranked Midsize Pickup In Initial Quality Award.
In terms of ABS, the Navara comes equipped with that through ALL its models, including the 'base' models - unlike other pickups which only have ABS for higher-end models, and in this day in age not having ABS is unforgivable

Same tayo. Paano niyo naconfirm that its working? I could hardly hear anything from it.

^Stock speakers. Gumawa ako ng cardboard to make a tube, tuned my equalizer trebble down and 10khz up, pinakinggan using cardboard.
I think it is connected to front speakers, i could'nt see thou the crossover but im sure it has capacitor somewhere besides it.

ahahahay! merun pala internal fuse yun? hehe katamad ko kasi, 3rd unit ko na yung ginagamit ko ngayun, mabuksan na nga din! anyway, yung akin i'm using a dual battery setup. i've got a 1smf (or 2smf ba yun ) battery at the back. it's connected to the primary battery via relay (gusto ko sana dual battery isolator kaya lang hindi ko alam san nakakabili nun dito) so i can disconnect it when not in use. then yung inverter dito sa 2nd battery naka-hook up. pero since you say kumakain sya power even when off, install n rin siguro ako another switch. syanga pala, why not just extend the wires para yung pinaka-outlets na lang ang ibubutas sa console? do you foresee any problems with that setup, e.g. heat? yun sana balak ko para stealthy and stock ang dating. dun sa ilalim ng rear cupholders ko sana ilalagay.

nakow sir bago lang siguro yung ahente na yun. or he should have taken the time to know his product better

as for the alarm, it's a mix of good and bad... good in a sense that it's got 2 types of sirens that can go off. usually it's the horn that sounds, but there are some instances that it does the "viper" style alarm. there's also a feature where you won't be able to lock the driver's door if you leave your keys in the ignition, and the usual other stuff. the bad IMO, is that you can't immediately lock your doors upon entering the vehicle. you'd have to put the keys into at least the "on" position, otherwise you'll trigger the alarm.

Problem kung iextend besides cupholder pati yung switch ilipat, daming butas nun hindi ko kaya gawin kay navi.hehe Dapat accessible yung switch since may overload-input/output error protection and from time-to-time kelangan mo ireset.. Regarding heat, free-flowing dapat pero kung seldom use lang, pwede mo ikulong basta naka mount sa chasis ng sasakyan-to serve as extended heatsink..

Thanks for the heads up sir! big load off.
hmmm... regarding not being able to lock the door immediately upon entering... i will have to make some adjustments to my routine. usually, as soon as i close the door to my car upon entering, i immediately trigger the central locking (toyota car). oh well. minor nalang siguro yan, i'm really looking forward to picking my unit up!

next big decision is which type of cover to get for the back -
i'm looking at either soft cover or the sport lid.
is there a better option to carryboy?
also, pros and cons of the automatic sports lid?
i want to maximize the space in the back, so the roller lid and the full canopy cover is out of the question.
    appreciate your inputs!

the central locking mechanism of the nav is also one of the things i kinda hate. paano kung hinahabol ka ng chainsaw maniac, hindi mo kaagad mala-lock ang pinto (not that it would matter if the guy is wielding a chainsaw anyway). like you, sanay din ako na first thing i do as soon as i enter my ride is to lock the door. sa nav, i consciously stop myself from doing so.

re: sa bed cover, ok yun style ng soft lid ni cydep. i would have the same setup kung di lang built-in na ang motorized roll top ng nav ko.

being able to lock the doors as soon as you enter the car can give you the precious seconds you need to pickup your shotgun from the back and shoot the chainsaw wielding maniac hehe

sir, is cydep located in banawe? any idea how much it costs?
