OT: NCP meet last night
This restaurant located at The fort was shouting "CEBU LECHON" on its well-lit signboards outside. Wow, This is it! Game na 'to! Let's get ready to rrrrrrrrrrrumble! Ilabas na ang sarsa! Gutom na si softop!!!

After warming up to the ambience of the place... my heart pounding hard with excitement, I go: "pa order nga ng lechon boss!". The waiter goes: "Ser, wala na pong lechon" Hihihi! nakuha pa nyang ngumiti.

Hehehe! Yan po ang istorya ng NCP kagabi na nauwi sa ipis, showbiz at pag-gawa ng UFO and horror movies.

Abangan nyo yan! Starring Khurtz Black (massacre victim sya dito) and directed by our very own director/producer Toto White.

More than the 10 buckets of beer served at Pier one, Krispy tenga served with suka and acharra, and hours of technical navara stuff, UFO and horror stories from Le Stat, Toto and Boy... in behalf of my good friends OJ213 and his lovely wife, maraming salamat po sa NCP's nth fellowship kagabi. Kulang ang oras.. there was never a dull moment! Sakit ng panga ko kakatawa!

Ang kikisig ng mga Navs nyo guys! Sorry at di ko nadala si Brutus Bantutski.. next time na lang pag mabango na sya ulit. Nilagyan sya ng Albatros ng driver ko kanina kaya amoy CR na sya ngayon! Hehehe, lapit ko na lagyan ng for sale sign to eh!

Mga sir has any of you changed or moded thier airfilter? Hindi raw kasi fit yung K&N na airfilter anong magandang airfilter ang pwede sa nav natin yung available dito sa market natin or kahit performace air-filters what brand, Price and where we buy them? Thank you and sorry po kung makulit na. ive been searching napo kasi for weeks and couldn't find any answer Hope you guys can help

You came to right place bud! That was one of our topics last night. Two of our members bravely cut and installed drop-in K&N filters on their stock "air boxes". A K&N cone-type Apollo model (if 'm not mistaken) was also mentioned. you may PM Le stat, RRL, and Boy on how they DIY'd their drop-ins and the mighty OJ213 for the cone type K&N filter.

you know what guys, i've been through the whole she-bang of this full rustproofing sh#t with my old trusty ride (not my navara, still savoring the nice new leather smell nya ). there is no other way but to endure the smell of hydrocarbon vapors for the first 2 weeks. it would help accelerate the process if you leave your ride with open windows preferably under direct sunlight (assuming you got safe place to leave it like that). but even with all your efforts, be prepared to endure the smell for the next month or so. by that time, naka-acclimatize na ilong mo.

* ladyrider, agree ako coffe beans smell good but will work only after most of the vapors has evaporated na, like 2-3wks after. charcoal may also help absorb the smell.

Just like you bro, I believe nothing could replace a leather, fresh-from-the-casa smell of any vehicle.

I like it (The full box, not the ridgeline. The ridgeline's ugglyyy ). Since it wasn't available for the Navara, I opted for this:

10k deposit, a further 37k upon installation, 20k cheaper than Carryboy's full box, suits my needs perfectly

hindi ko pa pina-rust-proof ang nav ko franster. and i dont think i will, kasi nga dahil dun sa bad (smell) experince ko dun sa full rust-proofing na pina-gawa ko para sa old ko na ride (toyota revo). ang bango-bango pa kasi ng navara ko eh. even if almost 7 months na sya, parang new car smell pa din and the leather smell is really nice. just thinking about the strong smell of hydrocarbons drowning the interior of my nav makes me cringe. anyone who has done full rust-proofing can attest to this, diba sir softop?

Has anyone tried removing & blanking the EGR? Did it put any error-code/s? If ever there will be no adverse effecct to engine, this will be my first mods after warranty expire which will be due in 6months.

Sir OJ, hindi ba parang maliit/ not proportion yung apollo yung parang may bottleneck.. Ang laki kasi ng intake hose then bigla lumiit sa adapter-yung MAF area. Any claimed benefits doing the apollo?

Balita ko nasa K&N na daw ang airbox ng ating Thai-built Nav, next year daw i-rerelease sa market ang drop-in filter?

sir mazzipino niticed you had a 2 point backing sensor intalled, madali lang ba sya ilagay considering Metal yung Kinabitan? I have been planning on installing one But sad to say Yung Nissan(Legaspi) dito saamin ayaw nila magkabit they dont have the proper tools to install one daw ayaw ko naman ipa kabit sa kahit saan lang baka mag karoon dent yung bumper.

^ I think kamukha yan nung sa Navara M/T, nasilip ko one time naglinis ako engine. Baka A/T yung sayo sir, ang alamko iba sa A/T kasi may water jacket tulad nito

After reading dieselplace, im sure that im going to block the EGR..hehe.. Ang di kolang sure kung kelangan pa ng fingerstick for the MAF or wla ba trouble codes ma-gegenerate ang blanking?

there's already quite a handful of us a navaraclubph who've done this mod. may tanggal ng EGR tube sabay kabit na din ng EGT monitor. mayroon din blanking plate lang, like what i did. my unit is 5thou+ km pa lang, pero pag-tanggal ko ng gasket ng EGR, madami na soot sa loob. how much more kung matagal na ang makina with EGR. so far wala naman error codes or anything adverse kami na-notice. ako for one, na-notice ko mas mabilis magrespond and engine. nabawasan ang hesitation sa lower revs. medyo gumanda ang FC ko by a negligible 0.2 km to a liter. dun sa NCP forum may how-to dun.

Another question, im thinking instead of EGR blanking what if i just install Meth Injection. Which do you think is safer? Im also considering the environmental impact of blocked EGR and the benefits of cleaner exhaust/intake using Meth injection. Either of the two, they both eliminate the soot but im still skeptical on how reliable Meth injection is. I read somewhere they dont last, and you need to keep attention on the water parts or it could damage the engine.

Has anyone of you guys did the Meth way? BTW whats the link for NCP? Thanks

it was reduced by almost half inch, I dont see any problem there sir

benefits :+ 10-15bhp ,plus the gratifying wooshhh sound

meron na may alcohol injection sa NCP (at least one that i know of). he also blocked-off his EGR very early on din. naka-line-up na din alc-h20 injection for me.
