1st of all welcome po sa Strada thread sir Florantejose!

yung pong Gls I think has alot more accents sa interior and exterior rather than the GLX and the rear windshield window which can give an access to the bed, the interactive computer which has a compass, barometer, thermoter and FC computer and of course 4x4 po ang GLS, other than that pareho na po..(or may namiss pa ba ako mga Bosb's?)

like what Doc ooba99 said, the difference in FC will only show when the operation of the 4x4 takes place.

you might want to add the times of pangangailangan ng 4x4 pag mag oofroad na tayu sa TSCP!

anu po ba pinagkaiba ng glx ska gls? oki na ba sakin ung glx? sana po may mag reply. im about to get navarra sana kaso ung 4x2 mejo mababa

Doc ooba99 already said it....nothing more to add!

I hope you could join us soon sir when you already got your STRADA!

BTW, for some good news. Regarding my engine's loss of power during acceleration, for the past two weeks di ko na na-experience. Kahit ihataw ko ng ihataw. Back to normal performance na truck ko. So I'm thinking baka madumi lang yung diesel na nakarga ko. I've done 2 full tanks since then. I just hope ok na talaga.

Nice to hear that Doc Boz! its just one of those days ika nga po ng iba....nasaring lang po sainyo ang pagkakataon dun sa nakaraang pangyayari..

Hello Sir FloranteJose,

sorry for my late reply. You will never go wrong whether u get the GLS or the GLX. For instance, if u get the GLS and end up using it in the highway, that is ok. You will still never know when the 4x4 will come in handy... for any reason like when you shoot your tire in a manhole by accident- this is true! it happened to me and my aunt! we shifted the truck to 4H and getting it out was a breeze! Other GLS exclusive features im sure u will enjoy are the fully automatic aircon, rear/5th power window, upscale looks to name a few. In case you get a GLX and end up on steep rough roads, don't worry. The 2.5 D-iD engine is strong enough to help you climb yourself out of trouble as well as having a higher profile than the usual 4x2 pickups.

Salamat, sir ian.

I presume that the current Strada and Montero Sport has the same bumper size and is of the same mounting brackets since I was also told that half of the Chassis of the Montero Sport (front) comes from the Strada and the back was designed based on the 1st Gen Montero Sport. The overall width for the whole Montero Sport lineup is just 15mm wider than the current Strada GLS Sport/GLS 4x4 probably due to slightly beefier looking fender flares.

...and i also responded to your email. Thanks very much for sharing.
Thank you sir for the answer, i already pass the brochures and price list for Mitsubishi in Sin to Mikko on our EB, he will contact you soon when he back...Thank you..

ahehehehe... i fell asleep na...

*florantejose,

Ganito nalang po... i will list the features that GLS has that the GLX doesnt have, the GLX and GLS has several common features but the the ones that i have Boxed in BLUE are exclusive to the GLS and even the GLS Sport! (source: Strada GLS/GLS Sport brochure after having read the GL/GLX brochure)

*** i would like to add with the Blue Combination Meter w/Chrome Rings because the GLS/GLS Sport has blue lighting- i feel this is adds an upscale approach too! also, the Tailgate-Integrated 3rd Brake Lamp with Garnish for the GLS/GLS Sport is Body Colored compared the unpainted Black for the GLX.

In addition to this, the GLS has beefier tires with 245/6516 and wheel size of 17x7 inches. and of course, Mitsubishi's tried and tested Easy Select 4x4 and proven na ito when the club had fun on the river bed up here in Baguio!

personally, i would still go for the GLS. some of the feaures are not readily available on the aftermarket like the Power Slide and Rear Vent Window to be very very helpful. But like what i advised you before, the GLX is also good. Almost half the population of our club are GLX users and seem to be ok with their choice of variant. No regrets, ika nga... It is all up to you as might want to re-assess/visualize what you want to do with the truck in the future...

i would like to also encourage you to check with your dealer and another one as well regarding the availability of the GLS... your SA might give you a hint... thanks.

HTH... Drive Inspired!

Stay on focus. Pareparehong magaganda ang mga bagong pick-ups. Mas lalu na yang dalawang pinagpipilian mo. May kanya-kanyang fine points and kanya-kanyang weak points.

Sabi nga ng kasamang si sir ThePatriarch, the club that rocks !!! Yeah !!!

MITSUBISHI diesel power
2013 5th Generation STRADA will run on a new engine base on this concept or a 3.0L V6 engines from the Dakar breed.

1. Mitsubishi
Too bad the Concept-RA has "concept" in the model name, because this sport coupe sounds like an incredible package. It has a 2.2L 4-cylinder diesel engine that makes more than 200 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque that's fed into the super-fast Twin Clutch SST automated manual transmission and then into the S-AWC all-wheel-drive system that's used in the Evolution X sedan. The Concept-RA also uses active steering and suspension dampening along with active yaw control and stability programming to keep the chassis glued to the road. How do we get on the waiting list?

Hello Sir hi5kaibigan, musta na po?

please quote your source where you got the article po so i can research on it further... i tried to search for it on yahoo and google but nothing found. thanks po.

AFAIK, The Mitsubishi Concept RA (meaning Road Active) is supposedly a hint for the Next Generation Mitsubishi Eclipse and should share its platform/chassis with the 10th Generation Mitsubishi Galant. The 2.2 liter with engine code 4N14 happens to be one of the 2 Clean Diesel Engines that has yet to be launched supposedly at this coming Tokyo Motorshow later this year. These engines are supposed to be for passenger car applications unless changes have been made and announced by Mitsubishi Motors Corp., Japan.

Sir Ian,

Good day. Got it from DIESELPOWER magazine & can be clicked on gogle--2010 latest diesel engines.
That Concept engine pretty sure is only a dream to Pinas unless our local emmission regulation std will be upgraded to EURO 5 or the stringent US EPA Tier 2 Bien 5.
Guess what we'll expect for the 5th gen STRADA is the 2.5L 4D56 175 hp UK L200 Long Bed current model or the 3.2L 4M41 200 hp engine of the 2010 Aussie Pajero.
As we all knew on the DAKAR 2009 where 3 out of 4 Diesel Racing Lancers entries broke down (overheating probs) on the race with the one survive at 7th place due to penalties (not sure). V6 3.0L -280 hp engines were used & i doubt if Mitsu continue it's development of those engines. Even the Qatari privateer Al Attiyah whose leading the initial stages also broke down on his BMW diesel, The VW diesel is superb as they easily grab the crown 1-2 punch finished.
The latest diesel engine on Pinas now is the Toyota LC 200 twin turbos V6 4.5L 260 hp? Might be adopted on TUNDRA trucks in US on 2010.
More news next post.
