Hi there,

Last night I had an experienced of plowing under the water with my strada, I was caught by the flush flood somewhere in Q.C.(Mendes st.) Difficult to maneuver in uncharted body of water due to dead vehicles along the road. I was in the low ground that I need to move on or else will be caught in the rising flood. I don’t know how deep is the water but I noticed that my floor carpet is already wet. It was like a short victory when I reached the high ground dahil maraming “usi” waiting for vehicles to ask for their rescue ,when I passed them ,applause was thrown on me. Now my question is the aftermath effect, what should I give attention for check up, knowing for sure the under chassis was under water for quite sometime. I still drove to airport back home & notice no unusual behavior, except the wet floor carpet and wet cat inside the bed even roll top cover is on.

sir first things first, approx how deep the water was and then how long you were in it.... my first concern is why water entered your cabin, dapat hindi mababasa yung carpet mo, unless you were in water way above the middle of your tires, kasi that will be approximately the height of your bottom sill. pacheck mo sa casa kung bakit pinasok ng tubig at saan dumaan... because as far as i'm concerned i've driven my strada in waters submerging my tires to 3/4 their height, and this is considering that my tires are 265/75r16 the water level would be approx a foot above the sill already, but i never had any issues as to getting my carpet wet, but i think doc glen's strada experienced wet carpets when they played around in the swollen river in capas tarlac... but i would really suggest you have the casa check why and how water got in.

sir RTS to be sure when you bring your casa na check nila all oil say diffrencial gear oil kasi malamang na pinasok na yan nag tubig and of course all oil kasi yan ang isa sa checking namin after cross any body of water check all your fluid kung me humalo but kung wala yung carpet mo na lang hehehehehehehehe like what arvin cristi say hindi normal na pinapasok na water ang strada even the old models sealed siya.

Thanks for the response , I will bring my truck to the casa for check up.
Siguro ang lalim is about half of my tire during still water (245 x 17)but worst is the wake wave of the water caused by passing big vehicles, that sometimes it splashed on my hood. Some of the stalled vehicles a passed by are 3/4 ang lubog ng tire, some are lubog totally.

Thanks-RTS
