but gasoline variants for a pickup truck was not successful here. Toyota did this with the Hilux - the 2.7 VVT-i G variant in 4x2 and in A/T in 2005-2008. It was replaced instead with the 2.5 G D-4D and A/T. If MMPC would like to do this, i would imagine a GLS variant in 4x2 drivetrain with A/T and the 2.4 4G69 MIVEC engine.

thanks, sir! cool silver kinuha ko. mas safe para sa akin. i would have wanted black kasi maganda talaga pero baka mahirap makita sa gabi. red is also nice pero ayoko pansinin. mas gusto ko yun nagbe-blend sa crowd. hehe

to this date, i haven't heard of anyone upgrading their brakes considering that the Strada and the Montero Sport lineup has a similar brake system. but in case there is, they would either post it here or the TSCP Strada Mods. HTH and regards to everyone there...

havent heard this issue sa strada namin but lets just wait for others na naka A/T kasi if im not wrong yung maingay brake pads sa monty are form A/T units, btw pls do join the club po with your triton

salamat sa invites pag dating ko po dyan join tlga ko, so far sabi ng tatay ko wla naman problem yun strada namen, ang notice ko lang yun noisy leaf spring, yun uneven height parang napansin ko pero di ako sure cant remember, so far din wla pa naman problema sa steering column na lumalagatok heheh bka in the future pa pero sana hindi na lumabas, yun mga 2008 model ba na strada is not prone to steering problem ba?

brake pads have a sensor just to inform you that the pads needed to replace... kaya siya maingay....

Nung 5th month ng strada ko, change pad and disc na... easy on gas and brakes... hehehehhe

yung ibang members dito, every three months ang palit ng pad coz madalas silang bumiyahe.

ung sakin po came from union motors in balintawak, rosita red, eto po ung gls sport na manual.. we were told nung august 1st week of sept. baka mailabas na pero inabot pa til last tuesday (around 3 weeks waiting time).. then 3pm suposedly labas na sya pero dahil sa trapik daw 530pm na dumating from the plant in cainta, it took 30 mins para sa carwash and 45 min para sa tint tapos around ten minutes lang after the tint release na kami (habang nag tint inayos na ung papers for release kaya mabilis lang ung actual release) =). ung sales rep ok naman di kmi iniwanan til narelease unit... would like to join the strada club =) sana lang po magkaron lang me free time.. =) bukas binyagan ko na sa putikan sa farm subukan ko ung 4x4 =) medyo mahirap po magpost tagal mag load =)..

summary:
3 weeks waiting time for the unit
2 hours 30 waiting time sa casa sa pagdating ng unit
30 min sa carwash
45 min para sa tint
10 min sa actual release

ako naman... glx strada with 22k++ km no problem with the brakes.. no noise... i haven't changed my brakes pads at all.

hi guys finally i was able to come back to this thread after almost a year, naging busy lang with so many things..anyway after almost a year owning white strada 3.2 mt now reads 10k++ on the clock wala ako masabi kundi the best talaga pick up na to, or we've just been very lucky no problems with it whatsoever..few days ago nagkataong may nissan navara sumusunod sa akin, so i felt the adrenaline kicking in since sinasabi nila mabilis daw talaga ang navara kaya 200kph??, pero sabi ko try ko lang kung kaya..since atat na atat siyang mag over take so i let him passed, don na nag umpisa racing namin, sa arangkada di naman ako naiiwan, now in an open straight hi way, the speed goes up and up, when i was sniffing 180kph nalalapitan ko na ito ng padahan dahan, na kayang kayang ko na lagpasan talaga, dont know kung nagmenor yon o ano, but i slowed down na rin due to a bend ahead..the next day i had a chat with mitsus's mechanic..and he told me, ""sir yang nissan navara kasi plus 20kph ang speedo reading nyan, try mo pag tabihin yan tapos tinginan kayo speedometer yang 80kph mo 100 na sa nissan yan""..dont know kung nagbibiro siya or what..well navara would be faster i think since it has 170hp or more? 6 speed pa, nag menor lang cguro yon naka racing ko..

Its not true, after reading this post a couple of days we tried it last night at sctex comin from tarlac.. Pinagtabi tabi namen montero & navara, pareho naman speedometer reading, we were running 100kph.. Iba lang kilometer reading after reseting both the trip meter from where we came from, maybe because the montero was '17 rim compared to the navara's '16 rim.. We also tried racing the 3.2 Monty & 2.5 Navara.. From a rolling start of 120kph tapos plus 3 cars ahead yung montero, the navara overtook the montero when the montero reached 150kph.. We used a 2 way radio on both cars to signal the start of the race.. the fastest we tried on the navara was 210 kph while the 3.2 monty's topspeed we've tried is 195 kph ..
