Welcome to the thread sir juniet.
Kudos to you for patiently reading almost all of the threads regarding the strada.... kung nasusuka ka sa build up sa strada (you are entitled to your own opinion) Im very sure lalo kang masusuka once you join the club... kasi almost all of the members love their stradas eh hehehe...
But nevertheless, mag-eenjoy ka rin siguro... madami kang karamay sa club na masunurin sa kanilang mga mrs... isa na ako dun hahahahaha
Hello mga sirs,
I have a stock bed liner, question mayroon kayang drain hole ang strada bed, kasi even I have the Roll-Up bed cover I can traced water weeps on the side of the bed liner during heavy rain plus the aluminum slots is not 100 percent water proof.
For the water contaminants in our diesel , this is due to condensation that took place from the refinery-transport tankers-outlets station storage tank. Service station tanks are not insulated thoroughlyfrom the sorrounding ground, so condensation can't be prevented unless a continuous heater of the tank is fitted. It is critical to fill up your car when the service station tanks is almost empty or strip dry, also when gasoline contaminates diesel it can cause "blow by" to your engine, "finito musica"

Dami ko dinaanan na baha on my way to work this morning.
Sarap kaya magdrive![]()
*Doc Boz, sorry this came late. i'm glad that your query has been responded quickly... The diesel that we have on sale may have some impurities as i have noted an article that was posted on the newspaper before. i'll just have to look for that though.
Here is my theory: Yup, the impurities of the fuel may have been accumulated on the fuel filter making it congested for the purified fuel to be delivered to the engine. As a result, the speed of the fuel to be injected to the combustion chamber is not reaching the required 135MPa (megapascals) giving you compromissed power.
Yup, i agree with LR777 and Drave, have it checked at SFM- especially the Fuel System and probably the computer box- to have the diagnostics of the air/fuel mixture checked. HTH
ps. i hope you saw my response at the Private threads... hehehe...
LR777, yup, Doc Boz and Sir Manolo are using 3.2 GLS Sport M/T models like yours... Doc Boz got his almost at the same time with Doc Ooba99. Hint: The Magwheel design for 2007.

I would like to confirm that there is NO drain hole on the Stock bedliner. so if there is water in it, simply drive to an incline and the water will pour out!
I may not too sure about this, but the pickup bed without the bedliner has a drain hole at the edge... if those with the Strada GL may confirm this...
AFAIK, carryboy released a new design of the roll up cover that is more water resistant. i think i saw the advertisement on C! magazine. Perhaps any of you can give them a visit and inqure...![]()

Mitsubishi hasn't had much luck in producing V8s. Mitsubishi only made 1 model- the 8A80 4.5 for the Short-lived Proudia and Dignity models in Japan was produced for about 2-3 years and was stopped due the currency crisis in the 90s... If it was successful, it would have made its way to the Pajero too. that was gasoline- what more for Diesel.
Yep, sir MarkTriton, looking forward to have you on board sa club... How does your unit look like with the canopy? can you post a picture or two? TIA...![]()
Uyy..TSCP pala sorry..nalito po ako sa M(montero) at T(the)..thanks po sir ThePatriarch..I'll find my way nalang regarding club's joining mechanics..
don po sa concern ni RTS re: bedliner weep hole parang wala nga atang butas. carry boy installed a roller lid on my unit and there was this pvc pipe drain coming from the moving lids storage box (merong mechanism ata don where the lids rolled together). i thought the box serves as a drain basin also then water goes into the pipe and terminates through the bed liner material. Either the pipe is bored through the bed metal or it stops somewhere it's anybody's guess. only carry boy knows how it worked..![]()

Now that would be intresting....
I hope they could pursue that V8 Di-D someday....so that the king of the dessert could get back its throneor better yet maybe someone would inject american genes to a jap mitsu engineer and put that V8 Di-D to the Strada....hehe just thinking out loud....

Thank you guys for all the inputs. I went to the casa this afternoon. After connecting the computer box to their diagnostic 'laptop', no trouble code came out according to the SA. Although he noticed the intermittent loss of power during acceleration. I was asked to leave my truck in order for them to thoroughly inspect the system and isolate the problem. The SA thinks its the SCV in relation to dirty fuel, but since no trouble code came out, he wants to make sure it's really the problem. So, I'll just bring back my truck when I'm free again. Ingat muna ako sa pag-oovertake.
