    Hi,
My diesel experience rooted from my first pick up (Nissan) then followed by B2500 Mazda, then now the strada.
It is my practise that every time I filled up my tanks, top up level i mixed one ltr of kerosine for every 50 ltrs of Diesel, since strada has 70+ ltrs capacity I mixed about 1.3 ltrs of kerosine. I learned this from German Diesel Engr. For Gasoline engine I mixed 1 ltr of denatured alcohol for every full tank. I have,nt experienced adverse effect to my Diesel & gasoline engine ever since.

    - what's the widest and tallest sets of MT tires that i can use for
    15x10 or 16x8 inch rims?

AFAIK 16" tires cant be as wide as the 15 inchers

for 16", im thinking of getting a 285/75/16 set of tires
for 15", probably a 31x10x15 set of tires

for tires naman, im thinking of getting BFG's.
ok po ba ito or may ma recommend po kayo na better?

Looking forward in being a part if this club as soon as i get my unit hopefully in two days :D

thanks in advance and more power!
dfrost, i am glad that you are deciding in getting a strada!! hopefully it will push thru. Now regarding your queries on the tire and wheel upgrades, do keep in mind that by doing so, you will be voiding your vehicle warranty, specifically on the underchassis/suspension/steering side, sayang din kasi yung three years or 100K km warranty.

tire sizes i would say stick to up to 265/75r16, any bigger, you will rub against the chassis and wheel well, which will require that you make suspension changes if you want to avoid it

yes sir pwede po siya talaga you can even mix it with unleaded 50% like some of our friends kasi dito mura ang unleaded, but for the strada that mix is only good for the 2.5 for now maybe in some months pwede na din 3.2 hehehehehehehe.

According to the guy, it clean the system of unburn particles & improves combustion. Also several technical people agreed to this way.

    Helloooo!
I had a surprised from Mitsubishi Casa this day, I let my 3.2 A/T changed oil & it billed me Php 11,300 for synthetic oil, sabi nila mandatory daw this kind of oil used by strada. Class kaysa sa Pajero Field master, unbelievable.
Tell me guys isthis true, you all use synthetic? This is a clear " CARAMBA"

    hi rts,

i think i was charged 6-7K first 1K. semi-synthetic. casa. kinda steep for a simple change oil.

btw, a rat was responsible for my fuel gauge problem. made light snack out of the wires that ran through the tank. it wasn't covered by the warranty so i shelled out 1.7K for the repair.

    Synthetic!!!
As far as I know synthetic oil has a longer tolerance than natural oil, so next 5K km I may waive not to change the oil & wait for additional 5K more km, because I feel it is not reasonable to spent so much every time I change oil .
Or I will buy outside the casa same spec synthetic oil & bring it there, I know one shop along commonwealth, fronting Casa Milan that sell synthetic motor oil produce in Germany.
Correct me if I am wrong that if natural oil needs to be replaced every 3 months, synthetic oil replacement requires far beyond that period.

Hi sir RTS, where casa did you bring your strada? What is the mileage of your strada? The P11,300.00 must be the whole charge for the PMS service and not for the oil alone. Otherwise, that's hold-up.

Synthetic oil is highly recommended for our 4m41 engine and the recommended change is every 10,000 kilometers. However, you still have to change the oil filter every 5,000 kilometers. The regular mineral oil can still be used but has to be changed every 5,000 km.As far as I know, most club members have already shifted to synthetic oil for the engine of their stradas both the 2.5L and 3.2L variants.

Mitsubishi Service Centers in Metro Manila do allow bringing in of own oil for the PMS change.

As a rule of thumb, try to avoid additional services and decline offers for additives that are outside the standard recommendation of MMPC. This is where the cost of PMS becomes bloated. We generally believe that they are not essential.
