sir ntyce AFAIK most, if not all, of the strada owners would want to lift their rides for a more rugged look and in order to overcome any obstacles that may come our way, not the other way around...

and if the current strada would be lowered.... let me quote doc ooba99's words: "magmumukhang hippopotamus na gumagapang" lastly, masagwa tingnan kung naka-Mickey Thompson na MTZ tapos lowered yung strada di ba? hehehe

Thanx for the response guys. I do understand your hesitations on lowering.. but then again, i'm in a montero, so the outlook on lowering is a little different. The reason why i asked is because supposedly the montero shares the same front suspension as the strada..

Thanks again for all your replies.

Does it necessarily means I could use other brand but with the same 15w-50 in it? Tried to look from different auto hardware and cant find any oil brand with the same specs. But theres alot which specified "Fully Synthetic". Can I use any "Fully Synthetic" oil but with different SAE?

Hoping for your help. Thanks in advance! More power!
just make sure its for diesel engine and not gas. motol, royal purple, helix, etc has fully synthetic oil..just make sure its the right grade. wiki mo lang and meaning ng oil grades (15w-50)

    Sir
Does it means any oil that is labeled "fully synthetic" can be use for our Strada regardless of its SAE?
Thanks sir for the prompt reply

Ok na sana yung statement nya about dmax, dahil dmax thread naman yun. But I feel that the statement on the strada is a "racial slur", hehehe.

Natawa na lang ako, eh. What's your take, guys?

tingnan nyo sino matibay strada o dmax

I hope it could also work as a "pang-hawi" along EDSA and other Metro Manila roads...

as far as dealers are concerned, im afraid wala akong kilala with freeway motors for your region. you can ask for some quotation of payment terms... if you wish to try Motorplaza- (Mitsubishi's dealer network for Northern Luzon) let me know and i can refer you to one of my acquaintances to their dealer closest to you. i hope that helps.
Thanks dn po kay Sir The Patriarch,

Thanks Sir ianmtsulancer I will keep it in mind hehehe pag time na bumili pg mas maganda po yung offer ng dealer nyo dun n lng me,,sa ngayon ipon muna at research hehehe,,

guys patulong naman on your views. I had a strada glx 08 for almost 2 years engine is 4d56. Nung 1st 5000kms I had it run * 180 kph on sctex pero napansin ko umuusok ng white ung rear ko my oil then was motul crdi...between 5000-10000kms inakyat ko strada talisay umusok again ng white smoke while climbing oil is motul crdi...Right now my odo is between 12000-13000kms I changed my oil to turbo xp naisip ko kasi na bka un ung reason for white smoke pero kanina along a highway I pressed the accelerator hard around 3-3500 rpm nag smoke ng black...I was worried and wondering if you had the same experiences with the strada, by the way this is my first diesel vehicle and the reason I bought one is beacuse I heard good feedbacks on the commonrail na hindi na mausok... Really appreciate your views on this...

I experienced the black smoke with my 3.2L. I don't think its related to what kind of oil you use. Baka sa diesel. I noticed this while I was using Caltex. I shifted to Petron and since then, wala na kahit ihataw ko ng ihataw. Don't worry, I also notice the black smoke among the newer Navaras. After maibuga, wala na black smoke. hehe.

I suggest that in your next PMS check, you specifically complain about the white and black smoke that your strada emits. I do not think it has anything to do with the type of motor oil that you use. It might have something to do with the air-fuel mix and your ecu may need some adjusting to address the problem which your service casa can fix. I hope this suggestion helps.

i use caltex.okay naman sya. Yun nga meron konti smoke. i drive smothly most of the time, so not a big deal and plus, malayo petron station sa akin and mas mahal. but its true, mas okay ang petron diesel. shell is good, but for me mas maingay and mas mausok..thats just my observation now..so i usually use caltex or total..kasi cheapest.. hehhehe
