hi, maybe i could consider myself complainer here but i always find solutions.


i change my tires and rear shock and it serves me well. no more hopping, no more changing lanes or anything to worry me...

jackhammering steering... hehehehheee,, i think its common maybe of the shock or coil spring...

i would suggest any AT type of tires but not bridgestone pls. Well i guess ms. piggyprincess knows the condition from davao to cotabato coz the road is much worser than what you think or maybe try davao-cdo coz i know you will complain a lot.I'm running around 120-180kph and my new upgrades serves me well....

i hope that I'm right... please try to change your tires and shocks... it's my opinion i have good pleasurable driving after the change.

my concern is also if mag change ako ng tires lalaki kasi FC ko.
right now 10-11km/l yung FC sa GLX strada namin.

sa mga gwapo at magagandang naka strada.. ill be in palawan (puerto prinsesa ata) for the first time next week, tanong ko lang po kung merong bosbs doon at gustong mag mini eb paki sabi lang po thank you!

guys just curious, pag river crossing na umabot sa kalahati ng gulong, diba nakaka cause ng contamination sa grease ng bearings (front and axle)? and yung breathers ng diffs and tranny di kaya abutin? pag baha kasi dito sa amin, nakita ko more than half ng gulong hintay muna ako bumaba. kundi gastos nanaman pa repack.

Thanks Promdiboy for the heads up. These are valid concerns when doing water crossing. I checked my Strada’s differential breather and I was relieved to find the breather hose extended upwards to the topmost portion of the chassis next to the floor of the load bed. Measurement from the ground to the tip of the breather hose is 24” which I think is safe for river crossing at a water level just above the magwheels. I wasn’t able to check though the breather hose of the transmission. I just presume that it is at around the same height. Anybody here knows the fording depth of the Strada?

For serious deep water crossing (which I won't be doing yet ), it will require modifications to the breather hoses and the engine’s air intake.

to my understanding, the fording depth of the Strada (stock) Hi-Rider suspension setup is 600mm just like the Pajero this is based from the documents i read about the Strada... i can reconfim this in the next few days.

during my last attended eb, one of the reasons why Docglen purchased the strada is to drive through floods... i wasnt able to recall how high the floods were though... paging docglen and other BOSBs... can u share your flood experiences? bihira ang baha dito sa baguio eh...

but if not satisfied with my front shocks, coz i'll be in cdo toda and camiguin the other day, i'd change it to Old Man EMU shocks if disappointed... anyways the front shock still not yet replaced.... give you inputs if it's much safer

We finally got our 2009 glx strada i so love this truck! I think may nabago sa kanya, ung signal lights clear na and 16" na yung mags, also the head unit parang iba rin...

congrats on your ride sir..are you sure it's 2009, its a bit too early for that model year...2008 was release only around feb-march of this year...

anyhow..congrats. sir..glx has always been 16" mags not steel..steel is for GL, head unit was changed from 2008...so, yours is different from 2008 head unit?

Thanks po... sa Citimotors Las Pinas namin nakuha unit, although we're from Pasig Sabi ng agent namin nabago daw yung headunit pero when I checked yung parang brochure nila, ganun pa rin naman.

Nakalagay kasi sa receipt namin "description of vehicle" one (1) unit Mitsubishi Strada 2009 2.5 4x2 GLX M/T, nagulat nga kami eh, parang ang aga nga nag release ng 2009 model... We waited for a month before we got the truck, naka hold daw kasi production sa planta nila. Ang nabago lang yung signal light, hindi na sya orange, clear na sya parang yung sa headlight kaya parang ang laki tingnan ng headlight kasi magka kulay na sila. And yung mga emblem ba tawag dun? pinag palit palit nila.. originally yung GLX nakalagay sa lower right side di ba? yung strada na ang nakalagay dun tapos sa taas nun yung GLX. Other than that, wala na yata nabago...

well...regardless of what model it is, congrats..., but wait till you get your registration sir, it will indicate anong tlga year model of your strada..time to dress it up and ingats lang sir sa driving. btw, texted my SA also from Citimotors Las Pinas, as per her, wala daw tlga 2009 model.

oks lang yan sir...ganun tlga..every year expect things to change...but if its just as minor as color in lense, its not a big deal..what is a big deal is if any look change in body or fenders..but regardless..ganda naman Strada mo sir.

sir, try calling el dorado or PM mo sir Boybit, his friend imported two map lights, he got one.. around P3500 yata if i remember correctly. pa install mo na lang sa seatmate...more details..pm thepatriarch as he got his from el dorado and had it installed sa seatmate.

Have they corrected all the defects, have'nt they? I'm asking because we're planning to get one of these beautiful trucks. Please give us feedbacks if the 2009 release just like yours is the improved model. I've been lurking this thread and just finished reading it today and I've learned that there a lot of defects like steering column, squeaking sound on the leaf spring, uneven height, and etc.

We will use the truck for long distance travels, as far as bicol and Isabela once a week. So we need a tough vehicle. I chose the strada for being maporma puede syang pang display sa mga kliyente kahit pick-up sya. For me it's currently the most beautiful truck in the world, IMO. Very futuristic ang design nya.

I really really love the design but the trouble is there are a lot of complaints and someone here even sought for legal action. Nung una kala ko isolated lang pero on the last few pages of this thread dumami.

Btw, i will keep on watching this thread.

I wouldn't know if na correct na nila mga defects eh. Two weeks pa lang samin yung truck. So far i have not encountered any probs such as squeaking sound, prob sa steering and uneven height. Okay naman yung truck, or probably sobrang maingat lang kami gumamit. If ever i encounter some probs in the future (hopefully not), I'll let you know po.

nakakatuwa naman at masaya po kayo sa inyong strada ma'am. pero mas maganda diyan, sali na kayo sa club para mas gumanda pa yung truck niyo. kasi lalagyan na natin ng TSCP decal hehehe
